Standard View versus Lakeview at the VGF (worth the points difference?)

Hi everyone. I would love input from folks who have stayed (or are familiar with) the standard view and the lakeview rooms at the VGF, in particular with the one-bedroom accommodation. I am currently booked in a one bedroom standard view room for May and I am considering moving it to the lakeview room but it's more points (obviously)...wondering if it's a good idea. For what it's worth, we are the type of vacationers that spend a nice amount of time in our room and at the resort (so it's not just "the room is for sleeps" and that's all). Do any of you prefer the lakeview? Are you able to watch fireworks? Would appreciate any insight. Thank you!

When I book the GF I always book Standard, even though I have the points. Next trip in a one bedroom next month.
However, I feel I can go on any vacation and look at a lake. What I LOVE about the standard rooms, is that I always request the area
where I can look at the monorail pass by all day. I ABSOLUELY LOVE watching the monorail and it is something I cannot see on any other
type of vacation.

So, to answer your question, to me, I prefer Standard and not worth the points of looking at a lake, where I can do anywhere.

We stayed in a 1BR standard view a few years ago - loved the excellent view of the monorail, as well as of the walkway to the main building. I guess we wouldn't have minded a lake view, where we could watch the boats, but as above, the monorail view is special!

We enjoy the sunrises from the L.V. and also the afternoon shade on the balcony. It's only L.V.'s for us.

in 2018 my family had a 2 bedroom standard. We were just above the entrance. We loved watching the monorail go by!

I’ve stayed in 1 br.s in both & don’t think the lake view is worth the extra points.
