What's the face value for standard half board vouchers in euros? I can only find the value up until April 2014. We're going in September and I'm trying to work out how much extra I'll need to pay for 1 adult and 2 children for the princess lunch. Thanks

Thankyou. Also am I right in thinking that you can also use them in cafe mickey and pay the difference? It's me and my two children going ( 6 and 4) and I was wondering if we can use one voucher to order a pizza and garlic bread for example and all share it? Or do you have to use one voucher per person to eat?

That will be fine, what you can't do is use more vouchers than are people.

The vouchers I had were I believe worth 33 Euro, BUT,

AND THIS IS A BIG BUT!!!!

You can only use it for a "meal" if you use it places that aren't listed to take them. SO, at Walt's, you get the regular menu for your voucher, or can use it towards another menu.

HOWEVER, at cheaper places, you can only buy one appetizer, one entre, one dessert, maybe one other thing, and one drink. You CAN NOT use it for 33 Euro worth of food, like getting 3 hot dogs and a drink, or something similar.

Are standard vouchers worth that much now?? Wow!
Not sure what you mean by the last paragraph? You can use it for face value at any table restaurant or towards the cost of a buffet, but you can't use them in counter service places (i.e Casey's hotdogs or Hakuna Matata etc). Not sure what you mean by you can't get €33 of food, can you put a link up to explain this any further please??

You can use them at counter service, but you don't get anywhere near the 33 Euro, as I was saying. Even if you get one of every food type, as they let you, you still can't even get to 20 Euro at teh places I looked at.

On the Friday evening we showed up, there was essentially nowhere we could eat with the vouchers since most places were closed, and those that were had no openings.

I would have MUCH rather got a cheaper room without the vouchers. I definitely believe DLP created half board so they can precharge you for the ridiculously priced food. I can't see anyone paying full menu price for the food we got. I'd be appalled.

We ate at Walt's, Remy, and Blue Lagoon. None were worth the money, even at France prices, or Disney prices. The food quality just wasn't there. Walt's is by far the best deal, especially with a ride up the elevator.

I wasn't able to use a plus voucher [33 Euro] to pay for 2 meals costing 35.98 at Lucky Nugget in June. LN is table service but you pay upfront like at a counter service. They would have accepted the voucher but only for 1 meal at 17.99 and would have charged in full for the other meal.

Called to book our meals for upcoming trip and have booked Silver Spur as one of them. The representative on the phone informed me we can no longer use the vouchers there. I asked her if they can be used at face value still and she said yes. The only thing I have noticed, having then looked at the DLP website for an update, is that it says that vouchers can be used towards a starter, main course and dessert. But if we just want to use a voucher all on a main course, can you? They don't make you have all three courses do they?? :rotfl2:

Lucky nugget is classed as counter service believe it or not ;-)

Using the vouchers at counter service is a complete waste. They're not really designed for that - you can save them and use them another day of your trip towards a good TS meal and just pay the €13 for a CS meal. Two good meals in one day is my idea of heaven lol!!

"Towards" :-) You don't have to buy all three :-)

It is a bit dearer than the other CS menus and is listed under the table service restaurants in DLP Guide but they've probably got that wrong. :confused3

Sometimes I think it suits Disney to make it all as confusing as possible. :rotfl2:

It used to be table service. It also used to be a character tea-party, and a character buffet too at one point :)
The meals are available in a few other CS places, the difference here is because of the setting and way the place is set up, it can't be a traditional CS in the way you walk up and order, you instead order it as if you were arriving for your reservation and pay then :) It's fab for refillable drinks though!!

The whole standard half board and face value really confuses me. I'll just have to go with what happens when we get there! Main concern is using them For face value for cafe mickey and auberge

You should be fine using them for a more expensive meal than their value hun. It's only when you want a less expensive meal but still want full value for the vouchers that Disney makes it difficult. :)
