Stand in line for attraction while waiting for virtual line to open

I went in feb and was able to wait in line staring at 7:15am for Slinky Dog while waiting for the virtual queue for rise of the resistance to open.

Now that MIckey's Railway is open, i want to confirm that we can go an hour early and wait in line for that for the virtual queue. I assume you can, but when I was reading an article they made the comment "after you get your Rise of Resistance boarding pass head over to MIckey's Railway.

My thought is on May 17th - park opens at 9:00 i would arrive by 7:45 or 8 - then get in line for MIckey's railway while waiting for VQue to open.
(I did fast pass for Smugglers run as it was already in the afternoon and I will be on that side of hte park for droid builds etc)

That night from 9 to 11pm it Magic Hours and I don't see that the Railway is open, but the other tier 1 rides are.

You were able to get in line for SDD before the park opened?

yes you can do that for any ride inside DHS.
MMRR is not open during EMH so far. Park hours might change so make sure to keep checking the calendar before your trip

You were able to get in line for SDD before the park opened?

the entrance to DHS is opening about an hour before official park opening, people go in and can get in line for SDD or MMRR, for all other attractions they are held with the general group until park opening then they are allowed to queue in

Just a word of caution. My son was just there and he got in line for Mickey and Minnie railroad. He was inside the building when the virtual queue opened and he had no reception- even with wifi turned off. He got boarding group 114 which did not make it that day.

What you can do is, if you get up to the building before the call, just let people go ahead of you until you’ve tried for the boarding pass, then just step back into the line.
