I went to my first Stampin Up party yesterday, and darn it, I really had fun! Now, here I go again....I'm going to HAVE to get a "few" necessities to get started, you know how it is!

We made a cute little topper for a bag of candy, a magnetic notepad, and 4 cards , one was a cute shaker card, one used the grid method, and 2 were basic stamping cards. We were there about 4 hours and she served sandwiches and layered dip and chocolate cake, so all in all, a wonderful afternoon!;)

I did good tho, all I bought was the catalog, and I've been looking through it all day trying to decide what to order at the next party.

anybody else do Stampin Up?

I have never been to a stampin up party but I think I am ready for one. I have been playing around with stamps but I need to learn a few basic techniques. There is a stamp store over in the next town from me that has some really wonderful things. Things I have no idea what to do with but would like to learn.

I will be going to a demo next month, I am totally clueless with the whole stamping and embossing thing so I am looking forward to it!

and she makes some of the most beautiful party favors ....cards...gifts.....bags .....magnets...anything and everything....I got some RECIPE cards with stamps of different basic food groups....and I love to do my recipes on them.....this is alot of fun......

I've been stamping for a couple years now, and I started with Stampin! Up. I love them. :) Especially the new ink pads they have now.

I mainly do birthday, thanksgiving and christmas cards. But I have also done baby announcements for a friend, party invitations...etc. The start up cost can be a little scary, but it's well worth it in the end. :)

Sometimes I just stamp a couple cards to have on hand for instant gratification when I don't want to drag all of my scrap supplies out to work on. :)

Hope you have fun!

I agree, I love the new stamp pads, the way they are stored upside down inside the case is really clever! I love all the colors too, that's going to be my first major purchase, one set each class. (hopefully)

I'm heading to one on Friday. Looks like I'm in BIG trouble!!! Sounds like lots of fun!
