Stalking reservations, better for meal or specific time

Just curious if I'm better searching for a meal (such as dinner) or specifying a time (such as 5:30). I know they do a time window regardless so maybe it doesn't matter?

Good question. I've been pretty successful searching by meal. Curious to know what others think though.

Searching by meal type will have a larger search window of available times than searching a specific time.

Book something during that meal type even if it's not exactly the time you are looking for, you can show up a few minutes early or late and still be seated even if there's a bit of a wait.

Also, as others get closer to the actual date they will start dumping their own ADR's and you can snap something else up closer to your desired time.
