Staff answer about taken in signatures *Photo* Updated 3/20

I was in a public room, using my extra character. I also asked if there would be a new rule about it and she if there are any updates they are in the newsletter.

While I am pleased about this whole taken thing not being allowed anymore, they will really need to be specific about this rule if they expect people not to do it. The only thing that they have right now is about taken rooms. Nothing about signatures or anything like that. So I really hope that no one will get in trouble for it until they actually are specific in the Values about it.

my kids have "Don't do Taken" in theirs I hope they won't get in trouble.

OK well after a couple times trying to ask staff I finally got a real message back. My question to them (help feature in game) went something like this :

I am a real life mummy using my sons character and was wondering I have put 'will not do taken' in his signature. I know you no longer want taken and not taken in signature However I was wondering if I should take out what I have written or if it is ok to leave it.

This is what I got back

I am not to thrilled about having to take it out. It helps stop the girls from asking my sons if they are taken or not. And I really wish they would update the rules about this. It seems the only people who know about it are the people on the boards. I was hoping they would have updated it on Monday but have not seen anything about it yet.

I second that! I've had numerous people yell at me for pretending to be taken..but its not bannable yet.

I agree. I feel it is irresponible for them to go around just telling people Taken in Siggys is not allowed and NOT put it in the vaules And NOT put it on the front page for all to see.

COME ON VMK... make your stance KNOWN to ALL on this.

I'm glad VMK is finally doing something about this, it gets annoying when guys wanna trade with you just to ask if your taken.

Not necessarily. There are plenty of words banned where you can use other words to sort of form the banned word.
Take for example the word "conservation." While I have no clue why they would ban that word since I can't even fathom how it could be used inappropriately and considering they use that word for the name of one of the host games, I have been able to use other words to form the word "conservation" in my quest. I use "con serve a sun" (would have been better if the word "shun" was allowed, but I can understand why it's not).

Not it's possible that they would ban the word "take" since "taken" is a form of "take." But I doubt that they would ban the word "on." I think that is way too common a word to ban.

But of course, this is just my "take" on it.

I was reading the newsletter and on the side it said taken and same type of rooms is not allowed. So it is not hidden it is there of the right hand side of the newslettter page.
