I read about that. I hope it's true so the family can get some sense of closure and justice. The story does seem promising.

ETA- I mean, my biggest hope was that Stacy was alive. But with D.P. history, and circumstances it doesn't seem likely.

He is such an arrogant, smug, scum sucking cretin that I can't even stand to see his face. There was a poster here on the Dis a couple of years ago, who was a cousin to his third wife. I remember her being so relieved when they determined that she was murdered because the family always knew it wasn't an accident. I believe that his third wife's name was Kathleen and they called her Kitty.

What doesn't make any sense to me is the article say that he told an inmate about killing Stacy. Why would he all of a sudden start singing? I think the reason he has gotten away this long is he has kept his mouth shut.

I agree, although I could see him making something up just to mess with everyone in law enforcement.

I just read the article. Are police saying who the accomplice is?

It would be kind of ironic to see Joran Vandersloot and Drew Peterson come to justice within days of each other.

They aren't saying who the accomplice is. I read an article on CNN that his lawyer is saying none of this is true becasue he is isolated from other inmates and could not have had this conversation.

I thought the same thing. I hope we are wrong and he did blab though.

Maybe he didn't have his accomplice to gab to, so he started talking. Either that or it's just prison trash talk.

I can also see him bragging to the right person that he knew would send the detectives on a wild goose chase. He is a master manipulator.

About 15 years ago a friend of my sister's was murdered by her boyfriend. He is in prison although the never found the body. Every now and again a tip will come up saying they know where she is buried. The first few years every month or so then a bit less. Several of those tips came from people who said Vince bragged to them.

I hope there is justice, I am just skeptical.

It could have been somebody who had been privy to some info, from way back before Peterson was jailed....

Now, this person is in prison, and is talking (hoping for some leniency, etc...)

It does not mean that Peterson is currently 'singing'.

Also, isn't it believed that in most cases, a person will always end up saying something.... to somebody... somewhere... I am thinking that this would actually be the 'norm'. Look at all the alleged statements that Van der Sloot has made.

I hope both of them end up behind bars for life.

Seriously, sometimes I wish there was really such thing as truth serum that we could give to people like him (and Scott Peterson, and Joran van der Sloot, and Casey Anthony etc) and get the 100% TRUTH about what happened. These people would clearly be ok with being administered the truth serum because, according to them, they are all soooo innocent!

People who hurt other's do it for power. There is no power in remaining silent about a crime. Being in jail means you are pretty powerless and must admit that the authorities got the better of you. There is power in bragging how they did something and got away with it, about how the police don't know all of it. How else is someone in jail going to feel powerful when they can't hurt anyone else on the outside and are stuck with othesr just as mean or meaner than them? If they lie they can still enjoy watching the authorities scramble at their whim. I could be wrong but that's how I see it.

Personally, I think this guy is completely out of his mind. How on earth did he convince so many women to trust him? People have got to start raising their daughters how to recognize the signs of dangerous men. We keep telling them to "Say no to drugs", what about "Say no to domestic violence"? In my house I do, both my DS and DD but I don't know any other Mother's who talk to their kids about deviant personalities like I do.

No matter what they get him for in this life much worse is waiting for him in the end. These women will get their justice by a force capable of doing much more harm than us, this, for me, is a certainty.
