Part 1: Picking up my MOH and Bachelorette Party
Alright, I have finally finished my Cruise TR and can start on the good stuff! If you missed my Cruise TR here is the link again:

I will start from where I left off on the cruise TR. After a WONDERful Cruise, Addison was in the back seat crying “NO bye-bye. I want Mickey Boat” Now, this is how I normally feel when I get off a cruise. But, this time it was much easier. First of all, I had way too much to do today and second of all, I had my wedding and honeymoon to look forward to!
I had to drive the hour and a half to my parents house in Winter Haven. If you followed along with the cruise TR you will know that Ryan’s contact fell down the drain and he had to wear his glasses the rest of the cruise. So, since he can barely see, I offered to drive! The game plan for the day was as follows: We had to go to my mom’s house and drop off our laundry. She offered to do it and then transfer our stuff to our Hawaii suitcase. I also had to call and pay for our cake, pick up the vests for the tuxes, and pick up my Maid of Honor and her friend from the airport at 2:00. We would then meet my dad at the Shades of Green to check in, eat dinner, and get ready for my Bachelorette Party. Pretty simple plan. Easy to follow. Well, as we all know, nothing is easy with a wedding.
We get home and Ryan gets his car and drives another hour and ten minutes to his parents house to make his appointment for his contacts. My mom starts my laundry while I call Publix to pay for my cake. When I ordered my cake they told me I could pay over the phone and it had to be paid by the Thursday before the wedding. When I get on the phone they tell me, NOPE, you can’t pay over the phone. I speak to the person who originally told me and she said she felt horrible. The people over the bakery changed the rules on them and told them they can no longer do this for such large transactions because they wanted to verify the ID. She said if I couldn’t make it in today, it would be fine to come in the morning. Not a huge bump, but a small one. Oh, but get this, when I went to pay, they didn’t even check my signature or ID! What was the point in me coming in for you to verify it!?
My MOH calls and says her flight is delayed, she will let me know when she knows more information. So, I take over the laundry while I wait to find out when I need to leave for the airport. I didn’t want to drive all the way to Orlando to pick up the vests and have to wait up there for hours for Kim to arrive.
We finally find out that her flight will be arriving at 5:30 so I continue to do my laundry and finish packing my Hawaii suitcase. Next thing I know it’s 5:00 and Addison isn’t even up from her nap. I start freaking out because now I’m going to be late picking up my MOH, how rude is that!? And on top of that, I couldn’t figure out all the details of how I was going to get Addison to Ryan because she was staying with him and his family at their Bonnet Creek timeshare. Well, we finally get it figured out. My dad took Addison with him because he had to drop off chairs at Ryan’s timeshare for the rehearsal dinner. So, I headed off to the airport to pick up my MOH 30 minutes late.
I pick up Kim and Ana and we head off to the Shades of Green. And of course, more small bumps in the road. HORRIBLE traffic, RAIN, rain and more RAIN. My dad was waiting to check us in and it took us forever to get to the SOG.
We finally get checked in and get to our room just after 7:00. We are supposed to be meeting my family at 7:30 at Jelly Rolls. I guess we’re going to be late for that also. The three of us got ready faster than I have ever seen three girls get ready, especially since we were sharing a bathroom. Since it was still raining, we didn’t do much with our hair. We finally make it to Jelly Rolls for my Bachelorette Party!!!! Sorry this introduction took so long, but I wanted to get it all set up and describe the stress I was feeling this day!!!! I hadn’t been stressed through any of the wedding planning but the stress I felt on this day, totally made up for it!
My Bahcelorette Party was a BLAST! It was mostly my family. An hour or so later after we arrived my mom’s friend from California arrived (she has known me since I was two). And then Kim’s mom showed up also (she had car rental issues at the airport). Now for the good part. The pictures!!!!
Here is me and Kim, my MOH
This is Kim’s mom, Pam (on the right, she came from Colorado) and Ida (from California)
This is my cousin Tori and I (we had our daughters three months apart…)
Here is my Nan gettin her groove on (and she wasn’t sure if she wanted to come)
They requested “Like a Virgin” for me and the piano players decided to make me come on stage and play a game. I had to stand up/sit down, every time they sang a word that began with “B” It was embarrassing. Oh, and at one point I guess the piano player said something like “are you that stupid” and he must have felt bad because during his rest time he came and apologized!
Here is my mom, Ida, and me
And here are some more pictures for your enjoyment!!!
My family started leaving around 1:30 because they had to drive 40 minutes back home. Kim, Ana, Pam (Kim’s mom), Tori, and I headed over to the Atlantic Dance Hall to check it out. I told them we should just see what it’s like because there was no charge, but I had a hidden agenda. I really wanted to see inside because I was thinking about Meg and Sam’s weddings…
There wasn’t a whole lot going on here and at this point we realized we never ate dinner! So the five of us headed to Perkins for a late night snack.
The waitress even gave me a free muffin to take with me to Congratulate me on my upcoming wedding! How sweet of her! We finally made it back to our hotel around 3:00 and I think we all fell asleep as soon as we hit our pillows.
Coming up next: Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian!!!!
