Stabbing at local university today

A woman got out of her car and her ex stabbed her- she ran away and 5 female coeds took the guy down. They held him until the police got there- from the look of the picture in the paper it looks like he ate some asphalt while he was down Luckily the victim is going to be fine- and luckily the bystanders stopped him from chasing her down and killing her. He is being charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, elevated aggravated assault and violating an order of protection.

I'm glad people acted quickly and nobody was seriously hurt. These types of things happen quite often at southern universities (U.T in Knoxville, University of Kentucky, University of S.C., N.C, etc). There needs to be an emphasis on tighter camera security, and manned security on campuses. This could have ended a lot worse, but luckily it did not.

You do realize you live in the south right? Though some do consider North Florida the same as South Georgia. Don't remember anything like that happening at the universities around here in Jacksonville. I am sure probably down in Gainesville area at the University of Florida, but not in recent memory.

Yes, look at that young woman who was murdered by her ex--I think they were both lacrosse players. It happens all too often. This school year and girl was killed outside a dorm at Gettysburg College in PA where my niece attends.
