Ditto! Go early before the crowds hit, and take plenty of sunscreen. We were there in April, spending 4 nights on St Thomas and 5 nights on St John with a 5- year old and 1- year old, and the beaches were always a hit. Have fun!!

We have 3 boys. Our youngest had just turned 10.

We did the Champagne Catamaran to St. John. He loved it. The Catamaran ride itself is worth the price of the excursion. Plus, he got to see Sting Rays, Sea Turtles and lots of colorful fish over the reef.

Coral World would be the natural choice to me. Great for kids.
We've been to St. Thomas 5 times now, so that tends to be our sleep in day, no excursion day, and wander the town day.

Coral World and Coki Beach. At Coki you can buy dog biscuits to feed the fish and they come right up to you and eat out of your hands. The kids loved it.

Another vote for Coral World and Coki Beach. These are right across a parking lot from each other. You'll get a wristband at Coral World that allows you to go in and out all day to use their restrooms, snack bar, etc.

Nice, family friendly beach..clean, good snorkeling if you bring your own equipment. An easy cab ride from the port and return. And you can sometimes get discount coupons for coral world at their web site and/or in the tourist magazine at the port.

Turtle cove snorkeling. Way cool....we didn't book it through the cruiseship though. You can find a couple of good catamarans that will take you out with a group. You'll see large sea turtles, fish of all types, urchins, stars, maybe even a barracuda (really safe). My girls still talk about our adventure.

We booked for our December trip a 1/2 day morning sail to Buck Island National Refuge to snorkel with turtles. We have an 8 daughter. We are not doing this with Disney. The company we are doing it with had very good reviews so we are going for it. We are first time cruisers and we are concerned that by the time we can reserve port excursions with Disney there won't be much to choose from, so we went this route. If I could my other option would be the Turtle Cove and Honeymoon Beach excursion...sounds nice.

We were thinking about taking our group of 12 to Coki Beach, but are trying to find out what amenities are available there. We've been to Magen's Bay in the past, but wanted to do something different with better snorkeling. TIA!

There are a couple of places on the beach that sell food but you can walk over to Coral world and buy better quality food from them and cheaper.

I have seen kids that age and younger at Coki beach go for it!
