St. John-excursion recommendations please!

DH and I will be on an Eastern cruise, and are looking to go over to St John. We have been to St Thomas enough times and are looking for something different. We like to hike, kayak and explore. We aren't "hang out on the beach all day" people, but prefer to be more active. Does anyone have a great excursion that we may be interested in? I looked on the DCL website, and nothing jumped out at me...

Is all your exploration land based or do you do the water too? Trunk Bay has an excellent snorkeling path, covers a very large area far out into the bay.
