Hi there,

Thinking about taking a couple of days to explore St Augustine during our next trip to the world. Hoping someone could provide an approximate travel time from WDW to St Augustine?

Any help would be appreciated?

2 hours or less depending on traffic. A lot of time we stay at St Augustine as a stopping point if we leave after work to head down.

Great idea. My wife and i just spent a couple of days there. You'll love it. Timing is essential if you are driving from WDW. You definitely want to avoid rush hour as you drive through downtown Orlando.

And while in St. Augustine, dont forget to go to San Sebastian Winery for a tour...it was great and even now, we buy wine to be shipped to our home from there.

St. Augustine is a GREAT stopping place! I would have guessed it more like 2 1/2 hours, but I guess it depends upon your driving habits.

Leave time to stroll the city, the market area, the historic sites. Certain times of year there are art shows and music concerts there. We often stay in the Casa Monica Hotel...right in the area. It isn't cheap, but is in the heart of everything.

Enjoy your trip, whatever you decide!

I am looking forward to exploring the area :) Thanks for the tip on the Casa Monica - I will definitely check that out.

I would allow 2.5 hours for the drive. It's about 65 miles up I-4 to I-95 and another 55 miles up I-95. Then add a little on each end depending on where you start and end.

I would NOT recommend the Fountain of Youth. Really hokey. But the shops and the fort are very cool. Awesome white sandy beaches too!
