St Augustine Disney outlet closing :(

Sad news The Disney outlet in St Augustine is closing, very soon. I went today and they have about 3 racks of adult resort/BB t-shirts. That's it. Their lease is up, and apparently Disney is closing most of the outlet stores as leases expire. They did say that the Orlando stores should be okay for awhile though.

When we were there in May, they told us they were closing in September. We were so sad!! Always stopped there to/from Disney! They have the best cast members! They have helped my nephews with their pin ttrading so much! And loved the pin trading nights!! Sad, sad, sad!

Interesting, they just opened a brand new one in outlet mall 30 minutes north of us, but it's also a high end outlet mall (Premium) and has a constant customer base of higher income shoppers.

Wonder if they are just adjusting their market focus.

Possibly. This is a really awful mall - half empty, and never a lot of people there. The Disney store was the only store that I actually went to. Sad to see it go, I live 15 minutes from there, and it was a quick Disney fix.

Yea interesting to me too, they are opening a new Disney Outlet in the outlet Mall in Niagara Falls! Scheduled to open in October! Everone around here is excitied, the closest disney is hrs away!

Yes we go to St Augustine often, stop there at mall, just go to Disney then leave.

It would have done so much better at the outlet mall across the street. That mall never has anyone at it except for the high end stores in the front. I've heard they are putting one in the new outlet mall they are building in Pooler, GA. I'm hoping so since it will be closer.

Did many Disney Stores close? The one nearest to me closed a few years back and I wonder how widespread the closures were.

Ugh that sucks! Loved checking out their store coming back from Jacksonville. I thought they had better selection than Orlando

That is so sad! When I lived in Jax I used to go down there all the time and I loved their Friday night pin trading events! I have such fond memories of that store and scored lots of great deals, it will be missed.
