I was going to do replies and the next day of our Marco Island portion of the trip, but we got some really bad news today. Andy's ex-girlfriend (the one I thought would be my daughter-in-law at some point), has a cancerous tumor by her cervix. She starts chemo on Thursday. Despite the fact that things did not work out with her and Andy, she is a very sweet girl (and young -- she is only 23) who we absolutely love, and we ask that you pray for her that the chemo works.

Kathy, so sorry to hear this news!!! I know that even when things don't work out with our kid's relationships we as parents still hold those feelings we had for them. Prayers being sent that things will work out for this young lady and she will be on the road to full health soon!!! And a for you as I know you will keep close with her and how she is progressing.
