I have NO idea where I ended with my pretrip for Disney after getting ready to go to Nickiland.

Rather than try to go back, I'll just post a few things I may have not updated.

I got a rental car. I was able to rent a Toyota Corolla, but we will be upgraded to a standard car upon arrival. We got it for $339.13 from Enterprise for 13 days which isn't too bad. But I will keep checking as I think with the gas prices the way they are, that they will be cutting the prices just so they can rent cars.

Also, the week we left for Nickiland, I was able to make our ADR'S and here they are with the final times that we got:

Friday, September 23 -- 5:00 p.m. dinner at Fulton's

Saturday, September 24 -- 9:35 a.m. breakfast at Boma's

Sunday, September 25 -- 9:05 a.m. breakfast at Crystal Palace (I originally wanted 8:05 for early entrance on Main Street; but this turns out for the best because we are dining with MaryAz, her hubby, Jeff, the girls and grandparents and they arrive on Saturday rather late and they would have jet lag)

Sunday, September 25 -- 5:20 p.m. dinner at The Plaza

Monday, September 26 -- 11:30 a.m. lunch at Yak & Yeti

Monday, September 26 -- 5:45 p.m. dinner at Via Napoli (I may try to change this to 6:30...I'm afraid we won't be hungry at 5:45....what do you guys think?)

Wednesday, September 28 -- 11:30 a.m. lunch at Sci Fi

Thursday, September 29 -- 8:00 a.m. breakfast at Kona prior to our driving to Marco Island (I'm still trying to change this to 7:30 a.m. so we'll be on the road earlier to Nickiland)

Your plans look great Kathy.:goodvibes I'd keep checking on the car prices too, the cost of gas is climbing and climbing so I'd imagine car prices would drop somewhat.

ADR's look fabulous too!:thumbsup2

Via Napoli doesn't sound THAT early, but I guess it depends on when you ate lunch.:confused3

For Kona, if you can't snag a 7:30am one, I'd just show up early and I'll bet they'll seat you early. We've done that and Kona wasn't that busy at 7:30am anyway. Plus, like you said, it'll get you to Nickiland faster!:thumbsup2

Thanks, Molly. We actually eat at Yak & Yeti at 11:30 and then dinner at 5:40 at Via Napoli. I'm just afraid they are too close together.

Thanks for the advice on Kona...we'll give that a try.

Duh, it says it right there in your post!

Ok, then I don't think it's too close then.:goodvibes

Hi Kathy, Thanks for asking we made out just fine on Saturday. Unfortunately many did not. Very scary time in North Carolina for a couple of hours. Had to laugh about your boys and girlfriends. Our 2 sons are 36 and 35 and STILL searching for Miss Right. Our oldest is a funeral director by day in CA and a surfer all other times. You can't make that stuff up! Anyway have a good week and hope you don't get much snow!! Sounds funny saying it a week before Easter. Elaine

Elaine, I am so glad to hear that all is well with your family.

You know...I want them to start getting a little serious, but not too serious. They just need to step it up a bit. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My crew is always hungry!!!:lmao::lmao:

Rosie, that's why I don't take my crew anymore. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I thought you all always do the Plaza on the last day. Did you decide to mix it up this trip or am I confused about that?

I think Yak & Yeti and Via Napoli are spaced far enough apart. I've always found that being at Disney makes us hungrier than usual anyway. :rotfl:

Kate, you are right. We have always done it on our last day. But because of the way our days fall this trip and the DIS meets with our two cutie pies, Avery and Cayley, we had to mix it up a little this year. We are okay with this so long as we still get to go. :goodvibes

I think you are right on Yak & Yeti and Via Napoli too...all the walking will make us hungry again. :)

:thumbsup2 Looks like some good places!

I love that you call SWFL Nickiland....thats what I call it too :lmao: When does my favorite couple head back to Nickiland....MUCH TOO LONG! I wish Mark could ump in FL instead :lovestruc

What I find is that no matter when the ressies are someone in my party (can ya guess who?) will be hungry no matter what time the ressies are set for. You have some great places set and I wouldnt change a thing...unless I am able to come up there for a weekend and then you can add 2 more to your Fultons ressies :thumbsup2

So our no dining reservation trip is coming up and I am getting a bad feeling about this.....I dont think we are going to get into anything! As much as I am complaining (I know right, like I ever complain :rolleyes1) I am kinda excited to see how it is going to pan out....takes me back to the days before we know what all the dining fuss was about!

I have to make our Oct dining ressies this Saturday and Mr. No Help At All isnt commenting so I am thinking of making him sign a contract that states he cannot change, cancel or add anything to the list since he didnt want to help in the planning stages. Penalty is I make him drive home (he prefers to sleep the 3 hour ride home).

Think it will work? ;)

And what is up with that snow???? You seriously should move down here, shame you dont know a Realtor in the area

Just checking in to say HI! :goodvibes

I think you got a good deal on your rental :thumbsup2 and your ADRs look pretty good!
Don't know about Yak and Yeti and Via Napoli though. You will have about 5 hours between meals - don't know if you really would be hungry again, but it all depends on HOW MUCH you will have for lunch. ;)

I feel your pain! Months in advance I start asking if there is anywhere in particular that anybody wants to eat. And to let me know NOW or we may not get reservations. DH usually doesn't have any requests but this time he wanted to take the boys to trails end, DS1 wants primetime cafe, DS2 has no requests, DS3 wanted to eat at earls at least a couple times. So I booked their requests and supper for 2 at rose and crown for DH and me. Halfway through the trip DS3 wanted to know when we were going to garden grill :confused3. That used to be a must do for us, but the cut out our breakfast then our lunch and we just never booked a supper. So this trip the only reservation I have so far is garden grill. I'm sure there will be complaints once we are down there.:sad2:

Your ADR's look great! I don't think Via Napoli is too early, you will probably be hungry again after being in the parks all day!

I'm kind of regretting skipping Crystal Palace this year...I bet I'll add it closer to my trip! :rotfl: I love that place! :lovestruc

How are you doing Pat with the weather out by you? Safe, I hope.

We escape without any major damage. The front blew through ( literally) in 30 minutes. Lots of wind and some scary looking clouds but we had nothing compared to the Eastern side of the state. :sad2:

Your ADRs look great, Kathy. That's one of the toughest things about the dining plan and making ADRs, though..how are you supposed to know when you're going to be hungry on a given day? :confused3

And please tell me that it DIDN'T snow. That's just capital C CRAZY.

I love that you call SWFL Nickiland....thats what I call it too :lmao: When does my favorite couple head back to Nickiland....MUCH TOO LONG! I wish Mark could ump in FL instead :lovestruc

:lmao:I can't wait to hear how your no ADRs trip turns out. popcorn:: I'm hoping you guys are sucessful, as this will make me feel better about my plans for July.

And if you work out that contract with Todd...send me a copy and I"ll try it out on Mark! :rotfl2:

HI Kathy,

ON top of a really busy week getting my DH ready for his first day of work today, NOW my little netbook died today. UGH! I am so frustrated!!

So, just playing catch up on the many threads I am frightfully behind on. Love those ADRs!! YOu sure know how to plan a good eatathon!!

:thumbsup2

Your ADRs look great. I don't Y&Y looks too close to Via Napoli. The times look perfect.

ADR's look great Kathy. I think you will be fine with Yak & Yeti & Via Napoli.

Love Boma:love: & CP. We are trying Via Napoli next month & will also be eating at Yak & Yeti again.
