I have a favor to ask of all of you who have been following my PTR. The couple that lets us use their condo in Marco Island got some very bad news on Monday of last week while they were on a cruise (they had just reached Barbados). Their second oldest son was shot in Afghanistan where he is deployed. He survived, but he will be sent back to the States for further medical attention. Please say a prayer for the family.

Oh my gosh Kathy. I will be praying for them. I cannot imagine getting a call like that.

My time with Nicki was awesome and special...everyone should have a BFF like her! Maybe I should stop praising her all the time...she might get a big head! Seriously, 169 days until we are together again.

I am going to estimate that I had four that day and she had three Venti's.

We are praying that it will be "prime" home in four years.

Thanks for the prayers. It is absolutely terrible. And Bob, the dad, just recently had major heart surgery and is supposed to avoid stress. This sure isn't the way to do it. They did talk to their son on the phone so they are a little calmer now.

Kathy prayers being sent for your friends son !!What terrible news to get on vacation !!! My poor sister came home twice to horrendous news !! First it was to hear her son was dying in the hospital (aged 22), he never regained consciousness after they got to his bedside !Itwas a rare form of cancer , he was fine when they left 2 weeks before just recovering fron as they thought a bout of pneumonia !! That was undoubtedly the WORST for her , but she returned from another vacation to see me , who had flown across the Atlantic cuz my Dad (her step) had died !!Needless to say she was very scared to ever go away again !!

I'm having a "parental" moment here. Markie just called to say he picked up his cap and gown for graduation on May 14. I guess this makes it real...my BABY is graduating from college. I'm happy and sad at the same time.
