It is going to be a 2 part storm like the last one. Monday night through Tuesday SNOW then part 2 is going to be snow and ICE. Inland could get hammered.

We've been keeping an eye on the forecast all day today....it seems that every station has something different to say...Weather.com says something different that the radio stations...no one knows when it will start, when it will end, or what we're getting. I heard last night that it could be all rain starting tonight (which means massive flooding...), it could be snow/rain/ice, or it could be 18 inches of snow.... :confused3 Guess we'll have to wait and see.... We're in the valley so we're getting hammered either way lol

I feel so bad for you guys...you've just been bomarded this year.

We've had so much snow that there is literally just no where to put it. The plows came and pushed it all onto the grass in front of our apartment building. As it is right now, the pile of snow is so high that you can climb it and get onto my porch....we live on the second floor....:faint: Just as the old snow starts to melt, we get more!

Rosie, I think we should all move to Florida and then we could have monthly DIS meets. :)

Yes, Tina, we've actually had a very "mild" winter snow wise. I guess we all got too comfortable with that fact. We'll deal with it...we are tough midwesten folks...but you guys are the ones I feel so sorry for.

Florida sounds good to me... :goodvibes And, Kathy, we are not tough out here....not at all. They've closed school for us six times since January 1st! the biggest issue seems to be that no one knows where all the snow is supposed to go, as its fallen in pretty rapid succession.

Stay warm and dry out there!

The valley huh? Naugatuck Valley? :confused3 I'm in the valley too. Near Waterbury.

I'm thinking it starts early am tomorrow with mostly snow, then changes early Wednesday to sleet/ice. I hope I'm wrong. But who am I anyway? I'm not a meteorologist! :lmao::lmao:

I hear ya... it hasn't helped that it has only been over 32 for a few days either.:confused3

Yes, in Naugatuck, actually, so howdy neighbor!

I've given up on even paying attention to the weather. When they say we're getting 1 inch, we get 12...when they say we're getting 12, we get 20. But if I get my hopes up about my job closing...we get rain. I give up!

And exactly! And the snow that starts to melt during the day just freezes at night. We have some monster icicles hanging from the roof!

:lmao: That's all I can do at this point! I think you're right, Tim...at least Channel 8 seems to agree with you! :thumbsup2

It just goes to show that the weathermen don't know either. :lmao:

I was on my roof Saturday and this morning cleaning off snow. It drifted in a few spots to over 3 feet.

Speaking of channel 8. I miss Geoff Fox. I don't like the changes channel 8 has made. I've been watching channel 30 now.

Does your school goto Holiday Hill for their class picnic? I DJ there for all the schools. I am usually out on the field all day from 9am-4pm. :surfweb: :lmao::lmao:

Morning All !!

Marv what have you to say about "Tenille's ":confused3 You do realise it has now been renamed by the Dis thanks to you:rotfl2:

Kathy I like the :thumbsup2:banana::banana:idea of monthly Dis Meets !!:banana:

Off to work in a few(second job) It's a short one as I have to be home in time for Marv's update !!!:lmao::lmao:

Did you guys see it's supposed to snow again Saturday, too????? :faint:

It is ironic that they got rid of Geoff Fox and we've had the worst winter EVER!! :scratchin He never predicted this much snow! Let's blame the new guy!

Hi Kathy! I'm jumping in to say hi over here. Haven't made it through everything yet but it looks like we are going to miss you by one day. :sad2: I'll be back to comment after I read everything.

Hope you stay dry and warm!

Leanne

WHOA! :scared1: to all you guys up north...
just catching up from today's post....hope you all stay SAFE and warm...

I won't tell you about our weather (my mom told it was not nice to tease people). I was showing Danny some pictures on FB last night of some of the snow you guys have; he said he doesn't know how you handle it.

Kathy, I have never had Emeril's in Orlando but have here. It is very good food BUT not anything I would go out of my way for. But, than again it may be nice to get off WDW grounds and check out the neighbors once in a bit. City Walk is a nice place to visit and the night scene can be fun. But, the menu at Fulton's does sound good, too! I'm not helping sorry!

So sorry to hear about everyone's snow!

We were pretty much iced in a couple weeks ago down here. I thought I had left that all behind when DH and I left the North.

Hope you all make it through with wonderful thoughts of WDW!!!

Thank you. I heard Georgia had gotten some bad weather.

4? 4?? As in degrees? :faint:

I'd call in sick, too. Say you're allergic to snow.

They sent the most a**inine memo around today indicating: It is Chicago. It is Winter. You are expected at work on Wednesday. Too bad...I won't be there!

Chicago is used to the snow in most cases...but it has been since 1967 when we got one like the one they are predicting (I was 10 at the time).

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: :rotfl2::rotfl2:Good one, Rosie.

I like that idea! :thumbsup2 I'm trying to convince everyone to move to FL. Come on, houses are cheap. LOL.

:lmao: That's a good one to call out with!

Keep them "cheap" until we get there in four years, please. :)

Hi, Leanne. I'm so glad you are here. Thank you for joining; will try to stay dry and warm.

That's okay...others we know down south have been telling us how warm it is, etc.

See, I love the Emeril's in Orlando (used to like the one in Vegas, but it has gone downhill in my opinion). I think we'll end up at Fulton's.

I have a neat story to share with you.

Markie's team that he is coaching in Dubuque had their Conference Championship this weekend in Cedar Rapids, IA (it's about a 90 minute drive from Dubuque). One of the school vans was being used for another sport (excuse me, it's wrestling season...there is NO other sport), so Markie had to take his car (my car) and drive some of the kids. He got a flat tire about a half mile away and pulled off the road. One of the dad's was following behind and helped to change the tire to the spare tire. The spare also had a small leak, but they were able to get to the school where they were wrestling.

The dad told Markie to give him the keys and he'd go get the tire fixed while the kids were weighing in, waiting for brackets to be done and working out to get ready for the competition. So the dad takes the car, gets the tire fixed and starts driving back to the high school where the wrestlers are. Believe it or not, the tire goes low again. He turns around and drives back to the shop and says the tire is going out again. The guy at the store says, "let's look at it again." The dad says, "forget it; just put four new tires on the truck."

Can you believe it? He bought four brand new tires for MY car (which my son is currently keeping from me). Markie tried to pay him something and he wouldn't take it. These people take REALLY good care of my son. :goodvibes

Wow.. what a great story. It is so refreshing to know that there are people like this in the world. ( and I happen to know a few here on the DIS too. ;))

Such a senseless and random act of kindness!!:banana:
That is one man we could all call successful in LIFE!!!
