Sssh....don't tell anyone...we're cheating on CSR -- Contest -- Days 6 & 7--#3516

We added another ADR tonight (we're going to end up paying a couple of them out of pocket). But after talking to Mary (MaryAZ), we realized she had no "nice" dinners with Cayley and Avery's grandma and grandpa planned and we've all been wanting to try Captain's Grille, so we are having dinner there at 5 p.m. right before we go to the MNSSHP. Mary and I are real excited to try this because we've heard great things about it.

We actually have no plans on Wednesday as that is the night we have to pack because we leave the next day. We figured we'd end our day at the MK or Epcot around 6:30 and just grab a bite somewhere before going to the resort for a last swim/pack. So, if you are sure you don't mind us joining you guys again, we'd be happy to join you.

We tried Sci Fi and MM on our first trip and if I had to choose between the two I would go for MM, so great choice

I have never eaten at Mama Melrose, but I did stop in there once when my cousin was eating there. The atmosphere is definately better there. Conversation can definately flow better too! They loved their meal!

Where is the Plaza? I don't remember seeing anything called the Plaza. Am I that oblivious?

I'll post responses later, but just wanted to let everyone know that Nicki and Todd have arrived at Disney. They checked into POFQ where they oversold the king rooms and offered to upgrade them to SSR; Nicki and Todd chose to just take two queens at POFQ. They were headed to DTD for lunch. Remember...this is a trip where they have NO ADR's. I can't wait to read the report on this one. I'll post a link when she starts the report (she is NOT doing a live report this trip).

BUT...do you know if they gave them difference in what they would have paid back? Since they charge more for a King room?

Don't get me started on overselling certain room types. What is the point of making a reservation if it does not hold your room??? details to follow when I finally start my TR.

I’m still getting over my weekend with the Girl Scouts in Wildwood, NJ. We attended “Beach Jam” – an event that included both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts! The girls had a lot of fun, we were on the go the entire time. Since the adults only got a tad more hours sleep than the girls, I’m still trying to catch up on my sleep as well as the laundry, grocery shopping, etc.

And, so I’m not at risk on being OT -- as much as we have fun at Sci Fi (the kids loved it), I too haven’t been to Mama Melrose’s in a few years. So I think it is a good choice.

Ok, I'm obviously either slow, losing my mind or a combination of the two...you're doing the MNSSHP? Fun fun fun! We've only gone once and it was a highlight of our trip. I love how the MK is all decked out in orange colors and the castle looks sligtly eerie with the colors all over it. Lucky ducks, you get to go!! AND I noticed your ticker now says three months, yay!

The only thing I could find is 7:40, but I'll keep trying. It would be great to go swimming at the CSR with the girls after dinner.

MaryEllen, thanks for the congrats on our son -- we are very proud. And thanks for the anniversary wishes too.

The Plaza is a sit down restaurant in the Magic Kingdom right around the corner from the ice cream shop. It is basically a couple of soups, salads and sandwiches with very yummy milkshakes and desserts and a long time favorite of ours.

Oh oh, can't wait to hear what you'll say in your TR about overselling the rooms.

Hey there, Molly, my friend. I think Captain's Grille will be good.

Yes, we are doing the MNSSHP with MaryAZ and her adorable girls (they are in the intro of this PTR). I love that time of year at Disney--the colors as you said and the castle; we went to the party for the first time last year and had an absolute blast and can't wait to go again this year (we got our pic with the Seven Dwarfs and I want to do it again this year).
