SSRmonkey Fall 2011 TR

Love your costumes! You and Koala look like you always have so much fun on your trips.
My grand-daughter has an Eeyore that she loves and takes everywhere with her. The next time we all go to Disney I am going to make sure he has as much fun as the rest of us. I know he'd enjoy having some of your adventures.

Wow! We just saw the fireworks! They were so cool. I am having such a great time. I've spent a lot more time walkimg around rather than riding in my bag. And I got some really awesome pictures that I can't wait to share!

Wow! What a perfect way to spend our last evening in the happiest place on earth! We arrived at MK around 5:30pm. It rained for about 15 minutes and that was the end of it for the night. Whew!

After getting our wristbands and trick or treat bags, we went to Pirates. The cannons were extra powerful tonight and we got splashed. I was thinking--Disney must pay Johnny Depp a LOT to be there all day every day! I wonder if they shut down that ride when he's filming new movies.

Next we headed to Tomorrowland. Mom was dressed as candy corn and one of the cast members told her that she wanted to bite her. Awkward... Anyway, we walked right in to the Laugh Floor. Koala and I were a little hungry.

Koala wanted a Blort.

I thought the Same Old Raccoon Bar sounded excellent.

When we were done, we were sure to throw our trash in the right place.

I think I'm going to sign Koala up for the next Scream Seminar. He could use a little constructive criticism to help him move to the next level of annoying when he screams.

After that, it was time for trick or treating to start and we made our way around MK. The best candy spot was by Splash Mountain. There were three different places to get candy in there!

While the first parade went through we rode Thunder Mountain Railroad--twice. AND...I got to ride outside of my bag!

I thought it would be fun to ride in the front row the second time around. That was a bad idea. Koala had eaten a little too much candy by then and he got a little sick in the bag. He recovered quickly though and then we rode It's a Small World, stopping for more treats on the way.

The parade was over so we headed to the castle to get a good spot for the fireworks. Here are a few pictures.

Definitely some of the best fireworks I've ever seen!

We thought we would try to see what Mickey was up to.

I got a hug from Minnie.

Then we scoped out a great spot for the parade. While Mom and Koala and I guarded our seats, Dad went for some popcorn. They were nice enough to share. Koala didn't want any, he was eating Laffy Taffy all night.

The parade finally made its way to Main Street.

Eeyore tried to take me with him.

The rest of the parade was excellent and then it was time to head home. Koala wanted to check out his loot.

We're going to have one hyper Koala! We head for home in the morning. It will be a long drive home, but we've had a great time. I'm sure I'll have some final thoughts when I get home! Time for this monkey to get some sleep...but not before doing a little jumping on the bed. Boo to you!

SSRMonkey - I'm sorry that your trip has come to an end. I think you and Koala looked great in your costumes. I love that dad went as Christopher Robin. You got a lot of great candy. I'm so happy you were able to enjoy your party out of the bad instead of inside! Sleep well and drive safely tomorrow.

Love SSRMonkey trip reports! Thanks for another great one! :thumbsup2

We all made it home safe and sound after driving 17 hours straight through. It was a good trip and we had good weather. It's grape picking season at home which also means it's time to harvest from our garden. I think this year's crop was a good one.

Our next trip is probably going to be in April, but in the mean time I'm going to be working on my Facebook page. You can find me at SSRmonkey Jones. (I had to make up a last name--real original right? And it sounded better than SSRmonkey Brown.) If you want to be my friend, please just put something in your request about DVC--I don't want to be friends with just anyone.

Koala will be helping me out with my page from time to time in between his research on the mothers of our country.

SSRmonkey--out!

SSRmonkey where can I get a "Let's Dance Chipmunk" T-shirt? I want you to know I have your back in case Koala is still eating his halloween candy.

Jstarcze-thanks for backing me up. Sometimes Koala can be a bit unruly...especially when it comes to candy. I think he learns that from Mom. She's very protective of her candy. Anyway, I made my tshirt at the Design-a-Tee shop which is connected to The Art of Disney store at DTD. You can make all sorts of things, but I am prepared for my next chipmunk encounter!

SSRM -- those are some "honking grapes" you've got there -- great photo as usual. (Or did you fib, and really go in the pool and shrink?).

Looking forward to your facebook page, and the founding mothers research.

(franandaj: hope you searched back for SSRM's earlier reports -- they're delightful.).
