How far is the check in bldg (don't recall name)from the congress park bldg? My kids wish to be within walking to DD but I don't want to be too far from the main bldg for snacks and refills? Also, is there a pool in Congress Park or is the main pool in another area? Thanks for the help!

From the farthest building in Congress Park to the Carriage House, (check in location) food court and main pool is a little less than half mile. But it would be the shortest walk to DTD.

Yes there is a pool at Congress Park.

Don't forget you can always take one of the buses.

Congress Park is the furthest from the CH, but it's still not that far. Maybe a 5 minute walk and it's a nice walk. Have fun!

I agree with what poster skelooch points out, even the furthest building in Congress Park is a reasonable walk to Carriage House/main pool area. I'd avoid Carousel area which seems further but in reality may not really be - it seems like it's way out but depending upon route walked it could be similar in distance to Congress Park; if you plan to use new Paddock Pool area then Carousel could be good choice.

I would second Congress Park area as well!!! We usually stay in that area, because of the beautiful views of downtown, but I thought that the pool in the Congress park area was being refurbed this month into next......Has anyone else heard of this?

We were there last week and were told it was shutting yesterday for a month for refurbishment

Its not a bad walk or you could get on any bus since the next stop is the springs, which is right across from where you want to go
