SSR- walkway from Springs area to DTD?

It looks like, on all the maps Ive seen, there is a walkway from the Springs area across a bridge to the far side of DTD's Marketplace but I have not seen mention of it anywhere as an actual access to DTD. Is this open to use for pedestrians?

Yes, you can take that way to DTD. I wouldn't recommend it! It will take you longer to walk that way than it would to walk from springs to Congress Park and take the short path to DTD. Scenic? Possibly, but not worth the insanely long walk.

You can find it on the map that you get when you check in at SSR.

I actually requested a building in the Grandstand area. Is it still a longer walk from there?

Also I am planning to start at the Market Place and end on the West Side then take the ferry back. Still longer?
Seems like I would be doubling back twice if I walked over through the Congress park area.

the boat (too small for a ferry) is in the middle where PI use to be - unless they have changed it again.

if you get Grandstand you are really close to the boat dock.

my cousin took the walk you are talking about - but it does not go to marketplace - it goes to west side. (I think) it did not take here long - like 10 to 15 minutes.

I was in Springs last summer and walked back from DTD several times and got really lost my first time, second time ended up coming in the back entrance to SS and walking down the road, and the third time I somehow took the right paths but I did not find any of the maps helpful. For some reason I just kept walking back and fourth from DTD but I was very lost
