Lovely pics pandv_2000. It's massive!!
Me, DH, DS(7) and DS (4 months). It was huge. DS had his own room and bathroom and we had the master bed with the travel cot in it.
what building were you in? the view is lovely!!
We were in building 13 straight across from HH. It was ideally located. We were last pick up on the bus but never had a problem getting a seat and we used to jump off at the first stop and walk over the bridge rather than travel round the whole resort. The view was great and we had great fun watching the golfers on the course. Of course it was more fun if they were not so good. DS was watching one guy and said rather loudly how rubbish he was as his ball went in the water - the guy looked up at the balcony and DS hid behind one of the posts as I looked really embarrassed.
Building 62 and 64 have elevators but are reserved for guests with medical needs (ie who can't do stairs). You can request these but no guarantees otherwise a ground level room.
At either resort if you go for 3 studios they may not be in the same building. A 2 bed or a grand villa would be great. I think the grand villas at SSR are one of the few rooms I would like to stay in there.
I am not a huge fan of the refurbishments at OKW. Even in the pictures on this thread it looks like one of the new blinds have gone missing already. We had tons of snagging problems in our room including basics like the air conditioning not working, cupboards on one hinge, doors not closing. And the new Internet position is a joke!

where is the internet located? last time we stayed at OKW, we stayed in a 2 BR.....this was about 6 years ago i think......the connection was near one of the couches i think, i it was hard to use the table for work (DH always works every day that we're at WDW - and everywhere else for that matter....he works 24/7/365)...
anyway, is it still a wire connection? not wireless?
I don't know where the internet point it but we always take a wireless router with (we have an Apple Express but I know Wayne has a cheap one he takes) and we just plug that in then we can use the iPads as well as DH's laptop (he is anyone that always works while we are away)
Solves the problem of where they decided to put the socket. I think the older resorts are worse as broadband wasn't even invented when some of them were built! Although I find it strange that it is in the bedroom in the one beds at BLT![]()
in the bedroom? that's ridiculous!!
never thought of taking a wireless router - that's a great idea..
I started taking a wireless router in 2007, the 2nd time we stayed at the HoJo Anaheim which only had a wired connection, makes life a lot easier at places like OKW, this August we took 3 laptops would have been a nightmare with wires.
