Well, me being my overly cautious self, took a trip to Florida last week with DW and DD and decided to stop into SSR to make sure DW approved before buying. We rented points and stayed for one night in a one-bedroom.
We didn't do any parks, but enjoyed the ammenities at the resort and just tried to "take it all in". We were in a beautiful room in Congress Park overlooking DTD...what a view. The room was beautiful and huge, but what really sealed the deal for my wife was the Thomasville furniture. She was hooked.
We spent two days at the pool and evenings in DTD. The pool was beautiful, very well designed with lots of thought towards little kids (DD included). She loved the "walk-in" area of the main pool and the Donald Duck fountain area.
Food at "Artist Pallette" was very good. We did not get a chance to try "The Turf Club".
Congress Park had a beautiful walkway to DTD. DW loved the view (especially at night) and the short walk to all the DTD fun and attractions.
I know this sounds like an overly glowing review of SSR and our stay, but it really was fantastic. I felt 100 times more comfortable buying there after our stay. We even went and toured BWV and BCV and to my surprise, DW liked SSR much more (No offense to BWV and BCV owners).
We had planned on buying 200 SSR points, by the end of the trip, my wife almost talked me into 300 points. She really loved it that much.
Well, we are officially new members as of last week (200 points, we can always add on).
I can't wait for our next trip...DD had such a blast. Thank you all for all your help over the last few months.See you at SSR and WDW!!!
