This is an odd question. We are attending the Builders Show at the Orlando Convention Center. BC amd WL are official show hotels and have a shuttle that goes to the Convention Center. When we booked our room, those hotels were full so we are staying at Saratoga Springs. What is the best way to get from Saratoga Springs to one of those hotels early in the morning? Do we have to go to a park? Is there transportation from Downtown Disney? We have a car, but I'm pretty sure it would not be allowed to park at BC or WL and catch the shuttle. Our car would be taking up space for at least 9 hours.

Not possible to park at the convention Center. Those lots are full from the exhibitors and the show doesn't even start until tomorrow!:scared1:

I asked this question on the Transportation forum but I thought someone here might have more experience.

Depends on how early you need to be there. If it's before the parks open, take a cab.

To get to the BC using Disney transportation, take the bus to MGM and then walk or take the boat to the BC.

To get to the WL, take the bus to the MK and then the boat to the WL.

If the shuttle goes later in the day, walk over to DD and take the resort bus to either. The buses back to the resorts from DD do not usually start running until later in the morning, so this way may not work if you need to catch a shuttle early in the day.

Another option is to drive to MGM & park there. Then walk over to the BC.

If you don't mind paying parking, you could driver over to the Dolphin, pay to park and then it's just a short walk to the BC. Might be a few dollars cheaper than taking a cab.

If you have to get to the BC or WL early, I'd take a cab. Then you can use Disney transportation to get back to SSR when yo return - buses & boats run fairly late in the evening.

On Disney transportation
From SSR to WL: Take shuttle bus to MK and take the Boat to WL or
Get to DTD Marketplace by either Boat, Bus or walk and just take the shuttle bus to WL

SSR to BC: Take SSR shuttle to MGM and you can walk or take the boat to BC or Get to DTD and take the shuttle bus to BC.

I was also going to suggest to pick up a bus at DTD but depends on how early you need to go as I'm not sure what time the DTD buses start running. We stayed in CP last summer and it was about a 10 min. walk to the DTD bus depot. At that point you can take a bus directly to either resort.

Otherwise you'd need to bus to the parks and transfer at MK for WL or MGM for BC. Can tell you though, this option can usually be quite time consuming since you have to transfer from the parks to either a bus or another mode of transportation (the boat ride alone from MGM to the BC takes about 20 min). That doesn't include the bus ride over from SSR which stops throughout the complex nor does it include wait time for the boat or next bus OR time it takes to walk to the transportation stops. Can easily take an hour or more when combing transfers.

You might want to contact the resorts directly and ask if they are accomodating parking for those convention guests who could not get rooms there due to lack of availability. You may not be the only ones in this situation so they may allow you to park there for the day. If this is not an option you can valet park for $10 a day at one of these resorts.
