We will be staying at SSR for the 1st time this spring. So tell me all about SSR. Where is the best place to stay (we have 3 boys 7,5,5) . How is the pool?? Food?? Activities?? Come on and educate me I'm really looking forward to trying a new DVC resort. Thanks ;)

There's lots of good info in this thread:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1329308

although it's been a couple of weeks since anyone posted (hopefully my last post didn't kill the thread).

Also search for SSRMonkey -- very fun trip reports to read (altho not with much guidance-- just really cute).

Hopefully you'll get some responses -- I'm looking forward to my first trip to SSR reading everything I can find.

We just stayed there in January. Loved it. Great newer pool with alot of fountain type activities for the kids, hot tub, etc. Downside...we never got to use it! It was the cold snap week and we were so disappointed. We stayed in the first building when you walk from the main check in area. Quick walk (a 2 minute leisurely stroll) and we were on the back side of the building overlooking the golf course. Got a surprise at night because we could see fireworks every nite over the trees. Gorgeous!!! Hope this helps! Our 2 bedroom villa was in excellent condition and so spacious. We bought some food there and it was very good. Not typical 'fast' food and not as big a choice as the value resorts, but you can always go to Goodings or another store if you need something.

Our kids are 7 and 5 and we also love the Grandstand. It has its own pool, which is great. The bus stop is first on the route, which is nice, because you're almost guaranteed a seat. It's close to the main bldg, for food and such. We even walked to DTD and it was very enjoyable.

Is the bus stop the 1st for all parks?
