Hi all - we will be staying a couple of nights at SSR in September - we hope to get Congress Park, facing the water. Any other suggestions or recommendations? What about first floor versus higher up? Thanks in advance!!

Higher floor gives better views, particularly for Congress Park lake views

We like the higher floors so we can get a good nighttime view of DS all lit up and reflecting off the water.

Higher floors definitely have the better view, plus a little more privacy as people walking by aren't looking directly into your room at eye level. Building 1 is closest to the walkway - buildings 1 and 4 have the most direct views to Disney Springs - buildings 2 and 3 are diagonal, so the views across to Springs aren't directly parallel and can sometimes have trees in the way. With Building 1 or 4, the 2nd floor rooms at either end of the building facing Disney Springs have the best balconies for privacy and cover during rain - they have solid walls and a solid roof so the balconies are boxed in, as opposed to just a cloth canopy overhead...these are room numbers with 01-05 at the end or 43-47 at the end.

Congress Park is preferred. So you would need to book preferred. Springs is also preferred. Paddock, Carousel and Grandstand are standard.

We do have a preferred booking, so I figure we can't go too wrong no matter what...but I really want that water view :)

Thanks so much - this is great insight!
