Travelocity has obviously made a mistake in posting their rate information -- but one can book a studio at SSR on Dec. 25 for the princely sum of $38.21 + $4.39 tax.

Sure it's prepaid and it's only a studio, but what's $40 between friends?

Well, that makes $10/point rental rates seem a tad high....

How did you get that price RC? When I went there I was quoted a price of $526 for a one bedroom. How did you get a quote for a Studio?

I got it this am. I know i saw another thread about this. This is a correct rate right? And they will honor it?

Thanks!

yes, it has to be honored until it is fixed

you will notice it is only for 1 night at that price...every ohtr day is 380.21

I'm not sure that Disney has to honor it, because it wasn;t their site, but a travel agent site that made the mistake. However, there are four possible scenarios: 1)Disney and Travelocity do not honor the price, claiming something similar to a "priniting error" in a store flyer. 2)Disney honors the price 3)Disney does not honor the price, but travelocity is stuck paying the "extra" since it was reserved through their website from their "block " of rooms (I think this is most probable), this type of transaction would be invisible to the guest 4)You are contacted by Travelocity in a few days and told your ressie is invalid (remember, basically travel agents control the ressie).

Now being that it went up over the weekend and was gone again. Makes me think it wasnt a mistake. Because when i first saw this post over the weekend i went to the site and there was no studios available. Then i went back in this am and it was there. Now does it make a difference that its paid in full? The whole amount had to be paid ahead of time.

i dont know about in other states, but in MA, regardless of the "printing error", if an offer is in writing it needs to be honored.

Actually, there was a case with Harrah's Casino and the same thing..they meant to print $1 in chips but printed $100 and had to honor it.

Regardless, Im not going so good luck to all.

I remember someone posted on these boards about a year ago - Holiday Inn went for something like $1.99 a night - many people had booked. Where it was originially advertised, or what happened, I have no clue :confused3 - it had to have been honored or we would of heard about it here.

Thats awesome! Im so excited. Now i just need to get one more reservation then im all set. This rate was unbelieveable. :Pinkbounc

Wish that I could go, that would be wonderful.....................

It's still there, but it's also obviously a typo. The regular rate on either side of the 25th is $380.21 and someone dropped the final zero. We'll be in Tampa on Christmas day so we can't book it.

It's gone again. It came up for me when I looked on the site, and I got all excited and started booking it, and then when I clicked the final button to charge my credit card.....it said unable to complete the reservation. Then when I went back to try to do it again, it was now coming up $379. So evidently somebody fixed it just during those couple minutes while I was entering my information. I guess I missed out, oh well.... This was just a few minutes ago. Darn, that would have been perfect for me too- I'm just looking for 1 night sometime during that Christmas to New Years week to go over and visit.

Last year I got TWO round trip tickets to ROME, ITALY for under $500 (TOTAL) on Travelocity...then when I called Delta to choose our seats I found out that the two tickets were in FIRST CLASS!!!! Holy cow! Must have been a mistake as that would normally have cost several thousand dollars but we had absolutley no problems with any part of the trip...we were treated just as royally as the REAL first class folks who had paid out the wazoo for their seats. Quite a deal ya'll have found for Christmas night! Enjoy!

Yep, there were a couple of posts about it this morning. Do you suppose Travelocity is contracted to a certain amount of rooms they have to pay for regardless of whether they are reserved or not? Maybe they did this because there is too much availability and they thought people might reserve other nights around the 25th if that date was at an unheard of low price.

It's still sometimes showing on the results page when you do a search, but if you click on "book it", it tells you that rate isn't available anymore and gives you the $379 rate.
