SSR- Srpings Section Refurb?

I read in the DVC Trip Reports, that someone just got back from SSR and could not get a room in the Springs Section cause they were going through a refurb. Is this true? We are going to WDW on August 24th and requested the Springs section, if this is true, I will need to make a change in my request

I just got back on Monday. We requested Springs and got Springs. I booked this about 5/6 weeks ago. They have recently started the Springs section. We were not in the refurbished building and had absolutely no complaints about the room. I think they do one building at a time and there are three. Put the request in as first choice (unless MS says no) and another section as second choice.

We are Springs people all the way. Stayed there 4 times, the only other time we stayed at Grand Stand. Was not really happy with the grand stand, where else would you recommend, THE PADDOCK, the bigesst draw for us at the Springs is location to the POOL & SLIDE
