Looking to book something for DW this July. Did you go what did you get done. Was it worth the money is one thing beter then the next? I see some thing about pepermint pedecurie how was that? I think my wift would like that. What does it get you how long is it? Any help would be great. How many days out can you book 180 or 90 ? Thanks again.

I went twice while we were at SSR for the holidays.

I didnt book ahead, I waited until we checked in. That's why I had to go twice!:rotfl:

I pretty much took the first available manicure with Conchita (same day) and then the next day I had the pedicure. Both were Awesome (although I wanted to have Conchita do both she was off the next couple days) and worth every penny.

They each take about an hour and they really do an excellent job. The spa said they had been pretty busy all of December.

After my pedicure, I went down to the spa room and relaxed by the whirlpool and drank hot tea. It is so relaxing down there:cloud9: I want to do that every trip. I read a magazine.

My daughter and I had massages at SSR and my massage was the best in my life!! My daughter's first one and she loved it and wants to go for massages all the time!

The Spa was great - hottub, sauna and steamroom with all the little extras provided for free!

I would highly recommend!!

I have been a member for 12 years and just recently started reading these message boards. There is so much information I have missed in the last 12 years...Thank you all! I have booked a two bedroom dedicated at SSR for 5 days in February an all adult vacation break, in the last 12 years our girls are now in college and we can enjoy our DVC in a whole new way a bit wierd for us but I am looking so foward to using all the amenities we have never used. So on to my question...are there discounts for DVC memebers at the spa at SSR? I have tried to search for it but to no avail can't find anything about member discounts. Our home resorts are BWV and VB and have been to every resort but SSR and AKL so this will be a whole new experience.

Yes, there are DVC discounts for members.

My mani and pedi were both discounted 20% Not all services are discounted, but we receive a nice selection.

Also this last time, I was given a discount of 10% on Spa purchases. I love the Mystical Forest bath products so next time I am going to buy more.

I believe the spa website www.relaxedyet.com shows the DVC discount.

I had the Swedish massge last May and it was GREAT:thumbsup2 . I think it was about $80 for an hour. It was worth every penny after walking the parks all day. Good luck!!

My daughter and I scheduled a pedicure together so we could chat while being pampered. Since it was July, they told me when I called to make the appointment, that the "peppermint" pedicure was seasonal only. But, when I went for the actual pedicure I asked the lady doing my nails about it and she used all of the same oils on me. SO. . .if you ask for the peppermint pedicure and don't get it, just have your wife request the mint oils be used during the time of service.

By the way, it was WONDERFUL!! We plan to do it again next time we are at SSR! It lasted about an hour (50 mins. or so) - quite relaxing.

Use of the steamroom, sauna and hot tub are free for DVC members, it's very nicely appointed.
