I'm looking to check into my SSR room online, I'm actually overdue to do it. I have actually a split stay at multiple resorts, and checked in for those, but am at a bit of a conundrum on this one .

We booked a 2br preferred since the regulars were all booked up for our dates.

Its my wife, my 2 kids (5 and 7 months) and my parents (my father will have a mobility scooter for the park).

Ideally, we'd like to be closer to the Carriage house for food, pool activities when we feel like it, so I was going to book Springs. From what I understand the "Springs" area has the last bus stop. I have significant concerns about being at a later stop on the bus with the mobility scooter.
Currently we're planning on Epcot rope drop 1 day, and the other we're leaving, but may spend some time either at Disney Springs, the resort or Epcot.

I don't want to find out we can't get the mobility scooter on when the buses stop since they are full.

Any thoughts? Also if it matters, we're going president's week in feburary, so I expect it to be busy. This is a 2/23-2/25 stay

If you want to be near Carriage House, you really do need to ask for Springs.

Because you're booked Preferred, Springs and Congress Park are your options. CP will be more distant from the central areas.

Well you either pick Springs to be near the pool, main building, etc. or Congress Park to be near DS and NOT be the last stop. The last bus stop issue could be a problem as you noted with the scooter.

In my experiences with the busses, they usually will load the scooter first, before everyone gets on. So, as long as there isn't a long line of scooters, you should be OK.

During peak times the buses could be already full by the time they reach the Springs. I'd pick Congress Park as your father has a scooter, so it's not an issue to get to the main building from Congress Park.

Good call!! I forgot about that aspect of it.

There are probably still people parking at Disney Springs, walking to Congress Park and catching a bus to the theme parks.

Thats what I decided to do. Hopefully this makes the busing better. Plus being closer to Disney Springs can be a good thing too! Thanks Everyone

When I stayed at SSR I requested the Grandstand because it is the first bus stop. I have an infant and couldn't hold onto the baby and my stroller while standing. Yes indeed, by the time we got to the Springs the bus was full and didn't stop at the last two stops. This was in December for rope drop at MK. I recommend the Grandstand. It was a painless walk to the Carriage House and the Paddock pool was nearby as well as the main pool.
