SSR Safety Concern

We stayed at SSR last week through Thursday morning. It was an enjoyable stay and the proximity to the Marketplace was wonderful.

We stayed in room 1103 with an incredible view of the Marketplace area and dead on with Fulton's Crab House. However, I noticed something I was concerned about. There is a walkway folks were using along the water to get to the Marketplace. Next to the sidewalk is a hilly incline which leads right down to the water. I did not notice a fence of any type there and feel this is a safety issue, particularly for tots, folks walking in the dark, etc. Has anyone else noticed this and are they planning to protect that area in some way?...without obstructing the view, hopefully......

Other resorts are the same way (no fences by water) so my guess would be no.

Parents should keep their eyes on their children and stay on the path.Problem solved.

Given how it was described, I'd like to see some sort of fence/barrier put up...but parents have the ultimate responsibility to keep their kids safe.

Is this the main walkway to DTD from SSR? I'm surprised it isn't lit at night.

Tom Sawyers Island is the same way(at least the one here in So Cal). Having a 2 year old, I've kept a close watch on her when aroung the water(she just loves water).

As long as they keep the area well lit it shouldn't be a problem.
