Hey all -

I am going to be staying at SSR in a couple weeks as seemed like the best option with my twin 14 month olds (separate bedroom and kitchen).

Can anyone suggest a good section and anything that the kids might be interested in at the resort. I see there is a splash garden but I can't exactly tell where it is...grand stand maybe. But it also looks like there is one at the main pool.

We will be going back in the afternoon for naps so, is the resort noisey? I see from these boards that it appears to be an upgrade bonus location...does that mean its going to be busy then?

Also where is the closest grocery store and do any of them do online ordering with drive by pickup or delivery?

Thanks all, I really appreciate any and all advice you care to share with me!

We were there in May with my 4 year old and 16 month old. We stayed in the Grand Stand section and loved it. We went back every afternoon for the baby to take a nap and my husband brought our son to the pool. He loved it. The splash section was great. Even the baby loved it. You are the first bus stop in the resort so we always had a seat on the bus.

The Springs section is also great with little ones as it is directly across from the main area and pool. SSR is a very quiet resort and I'm sure you will love it. The Artiste Palette in the main area next to the Carriage House has any grocery and sundries you need. Have a wonderful vacation! :goodvibes

Thanks guys...One more question...do you use garden grocer.com while you are there? Do you find it worth it?

We just got back from a trip to SSR on 7/28. We stayed in the springs section also. We enjoyed it because of the convenience to the main pool and the shops as well.
We did use garden grocer to order groceries for our stay an didn't have any problems. They were delivered the morning of our arrival and stored with bell services until our room was ready (including our refridgerated and froen items). We just had to call and let bell services know that we were in our room and ready for them to be brought to the room. We had no problems with them and plan on using them for our future trips. (The prices may be higher than what you would pay at your own grocery store, however, it saved us a significant amount of money that would have been spent if we had to purchase our food through Disney).

If you rely on the Disney buses, then Grandstand would be better as it is the first bus stop.

We prefer the Springs to be closest to the main pool and food, etc., but we drive ourselves almost everywhere in WDW.

Happy planning! :)
