SSR questions.....

We are staying in a studio at SSR for the first time and I had a few questions

1.What would be a good buillding choice for 2 adults and a 4 year old?
We would like something convienient to all the facilities.

2.We are staying on someone elses points, who makes room requests, us or the DVC owner?

3.Does the golf course surround SSR? DH will probably want to play

Any other helpful info appreciated TIA

We are there right now...

1) I think you'll like the Grandstand. It is close to the bus, but more importantly for us, it is right near the quiet pool, which has a splash area that your child will love.

2) Not sure, but I think the DVC owner has to do it.

3) Yes, the golf course basically surrounds it. Our room looks out over it.

1. Springs Section.

2. The owner needs to make room requests, add DDP and set up DME.

3. The golf course goes thru part of SSR, OKW and jumps the road. The club house is located on the lower level, behind the SSR lobby.

I would say Springs or Grandstand. Golf also at Oak Trail, which is now part of the water parks and more option on your MYW ticket. Of course, Buena Vista course is right there.

And yes DVC owner needs to make ressies.

The golf course only surrounds the Grandstand section. The other sections do not have any of the course around it. I still believe the Grandstand to be the best section, especially the two buildings by the pool. They are just a short walk to the main area and being the first bus stop is a plus. It has it's owned themed quiet pool with snack bar and mug section. The kid's spray area may be attractive to a 4 year old.

Another vote for Grandstand! I think it was a great location! Right next to a quiet pool & nice kid water play area. Close walk to the main building and to the boat dock. And first pick-up/drop-off stop for the bus!
