SSR Parking

I can't figure out how close the parking is at SSR. I have read that it is rather like OKW, but the buildings are more like the other resorts. Who has been there to help me understand. Can you park right next to your unit like OKW?

The resort map on the DVC site seems to indicate parking is like OKW.

Hi Jean!!!!

Look at this pic. It does kind of make the units look like OKW (at least, in my opinion). I was wondering the same thing, because in all of the shots I had seen of SSR, it looked like one giant building, but here it looks like individuals.

Plus, when I looked back over my book that I got from DVC (when we were thinking of buying there), it looks like SSR is made up of 12 stand alone, u-shaped buildings, plus the carriage house/spa.
It doesn't show parking exactly, but I am guessing you can park "inside the U", and possibly on some exteriors. Parking would definitely be close.

Hi, Beca!
That's a great picture to give me an idea. We love the parking at OKW, so this is super news.
DH and I are doing fine. Got the 5 inch pin out of my foot yesterday. I'm a really happy camper now! Thanks for asking.

Hmmm...I checked the map and I can't really imagine parking areas inside of the "U" shape of each building. The windows with the"views" from most of the rooms are in this area.

If you look at the buildings in Phase II closest to the common buildings/main pool, you can see what looks to be some dedicated parking areas. Not sure about parking for buildings 1-4. I'd have to guess there are spaces in the "street" area that is behind the buildings (if you consider the DD side the front).
