SSR or AKV Jambo House Studio?

Which would you pick, SSR or AKV Jambo House Studio for 2 adults and 2 three year olds for a 3 night stay in March?

We will have a rental car if that factors into your decision Thanks!

We have stayed at both and prefer SS without a doubt. We like theming better - warm, calm colors over the dark ones. We also like that is it not hotely either. But that is just us.

Without knowing how much your little ones love animals, I would say SSR. Easier to get from your car to your room. Lots of open outdoor areas for them to "run their sillies" out. If you request Congress Park, you have a quiet pool, a playground and the walkway/grass area for them to play and not disturb anyone. If they are into animals and not whirling dervishes like my DGD, then AKV.

There's not many places outside the resort to run around at AKV-JH. But SSR has lots of green spaces around the resort so the kiddos can run a bit.

We loved Jambo.

Jambo is compact and easy to navigate - gift shop, restaurants, and animal viewing are all centrally located. Pool is zero entry and there is a nice playground right by the pool area. If you want a quick snack, very easy to pop on over to the Mara, or even to the gift shop.

The animal watching is very intriquing and there are tons of great nooks and crannies to explore. It's like having a little zoo at your hotel. My kids loved it at 6 and 8.

IMO the only thing AKV has a pro over SSR is the animals, view. If you are not sav. view. I think you miss the only reason to go there.

SSR is in the middle of all the parks. Walking to DTD, Artist Pall. is best/beautiful QS. Parking close conv.

AKV is a 45 min bus ride, adding standing room only is tough, with little ones. The view is fantastic, but does not make up for the distance to Epcot, MK and HS.

The pools are very comparable, but SSR has more options. The staff =, For only 3 days the travel time will eat up a short trip.. UNLESS you are not going to the parks, my choice is SSR 100%.

I'd go with AKL jambo, everything is right there multiple food options, great pool, and the animals.
The bus rides are not that bad, they are a maybe 20 min. ride to MK or DD, at least that's what we waited last may

I think Jambo would be more convenient because the grounds are more compact. There's a very nice playground and animal viewing area right near the pool, and the Mara is close by.
