SSR & OKW Renovations

Are the OKW renovations complete? I would assume so since SSR I heard is starting? Anyone know how quickly they go through the buildings? We were able to find a 1b at SSR for early October. While I love the hotel the room on my last stay needed TLC and this was two years ago. Wondering if I should put a request in for a refurb unit but not sure if any would be completed in three months time. My other option is to waitlist OKW. Any advice?

OKW is done 100%. SSR should take about 1.5-2 years, likely closer to 2 years to complete the renovation. I would say it is unlikely that you would get a refurbished unit in October considering it is only 3 months away and that would be only about 1/8 of the rooms done, if we assume 24 months of work. Also I'm not sure what building they are starting on but preferred vs standard could eliminate the possibility of a refurbished unit in October. Perhaps others will know where they started first.

I read they started in Congress Park

Was just there. They started in Congress Park at the very last building closest to the Disney Springs walkway. The whole building is out of commission and under construction.

I know this as old thread but does anyone know if the SSR room renovation is fully completed? We were there summer of 2021 and all the preferred rooms were done, but some standard and not all.

Completed late summer or early fall last year.
