SSR New Years Eve Fireworks

Hi, I'm thinking of staying at SSR next year for New Year's Eve Fireworks.

Can anyone who is there this year, tell me how long the FW are?

I know the regular ones are about 1 minute....

Am hoping the NYE are something special.

My little one falls asleep, so am looking for somewhere to stay where I can sneak out and see them (like the viewing pavillion).

Oh, and does anyone know in Julyish when the test run for these occur. Maybe I could catch them then....?

The nightly fireworks are only about 25 seconds long. Check back after the first of the year for details on the NYE event.

The waterside villas are well insulated against the the noise from the normal fireworks show. However, there was some sort of event over the summer (don't think it was 7/4) for which additional fireworks were added. If memory serves, the additional shells were launched from a floating barge / platform which was much closer to the SSR units. There were numerous reports of this enhanced show causing disturbances to the guests.

We are coming in for one night before a cruise so I will also try to post. We are really looking forward to NYE at WDW

We were at PI for New Years eve last year and I am estimating that the fireworks lasted around 15 minutes. They were amazing, but I think part of that was the vantage point. We were standing in the street between the clubs and the fireworks were literally going off right above us. Mostly from behind the Adventurers club. And the air was so full of ticker tape it was just beautiful.

I have pictures somewhere. I will try to find them this week and post them.

The nightly fireworks are only about 25 seconds long.

I timed it at 26 seconds once.

Love it when the CMs at the Adventurers Club refer to it as "Mediocrity in the Sky"

The nightly fireworks are very short, however the NYE fireworks are much longer and were well worth the $85+ we spent for the NYE party. Blondie and Sugar Hill Gang were also memory makers.

Hi, I will be there on NYE, I am normally at BWV or BCV so this is going to be differ for us. I will let ya know gladly, we have scheduled our night around them.
