We are in an SSR GV right now. The master bath has a strange configuration in that the toilet, shower and jetted tub are all in the same space ... with shutters separating them from the bedroom. Of course, the shutters have a huge gaps along the bottom and sides --- offering little privacy.

Are the master bathrooms in the 1BR and 2BR similar?

For comparison, we are most used to the 1BR BWV configuration where the toilet and shower are in a room together (with two doors) and the tub is in a separate space shuttered from the bedroom. I'm familiar with the Florida notion that the jetted tub wants to be open to the bedroom -- but the toilet also?? (Yuk!)

The one and two bedroom villas at SSR are similar to the BWV set up you describe.

2 bedroom villa we stayed in at SSR in August (in Paddock)

had tub & double vanity together in one room with shutters to MB,

shower & pedestal sink in its own room and attached

to this room but also in its own separate room(like an oversized closet)

with a lockable door was where toilet was located.

I agree with you OP, toilet in room with shutters that you've got

in GV seems bizarre.

The toilet doesn't have a separate door? How odd. The 1 & 2BR, the toilet is in the shower part of the bathroom and it still has a door for more provacy!

Sounds strange to me, although I've never stayed in a GV. Is it possibly a HC GV?

ETA: Just looked at the floorplan on the website and it's just plain old designed that way. Yuck. You're safe with all the other 1 and 2 b/r though. In those the toilet area is separated by real doors.

Thanks, folks! Glad to know that the 1BR and 2BR units don't share this strange configuration. On the bright side, we have an extremely wonderful water view -- directly across from Fulton's Crab House. Lovely!

So... with the shutters open, can you sit on the throne and look out at Fulton's?? That would be a unique WDW experience... odd.:confused3

I've been trying to keep the squirrelly shutters closed -- but yes, if open you'd have a lovely view from the throne.
