SSR Lovers and Owners Part 4

their blog post was where I was finding the conflicting info. On one page it says Tuesdays at 3:30 and on the bottom of their blog post it says Wednesdays 2-3:30. We arrive supposed to land at MCO on a Tuesday at about 1pm, so there's a chance we could make it that day, depending on the rental car counters and luggage.
Yeah I would call
Their number to figure out the exact date.

Does anyone know if we can bring our own ground coffee and filters to use in the pots in the studios?

Does anyone know if we can fit and use an air mattress in a studio? My two kids are at the age now where they’re starting to want to have their own bed and this trip we needed a studio so thinking about bringing an air mattress for one of them if we can make it fit?

Yes, you can bring your own coffee and filters. It's a standard coffee pot.

An air mattress would be tight but I think possible. I'd definitely stick to twin sized. You may be able to fit it in front of the dresser but you won't be able to get to the balcony or into the dresser and the person in the Murphy bed will have trouble getting around.

There's definitely enough room for a twin mattress at the foot of the murphy - as mentioned, it slightly complicates getting out of the murphy though there should be enough room to get in on the bed-facing side. There's also a potential space opposite the bed, where there's a little bench/dresser and trash can - though I can't recall if that bench is anchored or not. If not, it could be moved and a twin mattress against the wall would still leave room to walk past. If it's anchored, then no.

anyone know if the treehouses are undergoing updates right now/soon? 2025? i've read so much mixed info

They had their decks renovated (which seems to mostly mean replaced) earlier this year, but no word on room reno start date yet for the Treehouses.

Unless I just completely missed it. But I don’t think I did.

I've been looking for updates on the Treehouse reno and haven't seen anything so I don't think you missed it.

Just had our first DVC stay last week and ended up going with a 2bedroom standard here since there were 7 of us visiting. Never been to SSR before and I thought it was pretty great. Requested (and got) the Paddock so we could more easily walk to DS. Bus transportation to the resorts was fast, I don't think we ever waited more than 10 minutes for one (we took afternoon breaks back to relax and swim so rode multiple times a day). We've always stayed at resorts with bus transportation so we don't mind, but was pleasantly surprised how quick the rides seemed.

Staying here sealed the deal for me and we ended up buying direct points with the current incentives :goodvibes

Looking for room request advice. I have a resort only stay with a preferred room
Looking for pool and hot tub time, and easy access to Disney Springs. Thanks!!

Congress Park in one of the buildings near the pool (I forgot the building numbers). The quiet pool at Congress park is really nice with a view of DS, and the walk over is very short.

Buildings 2 and 3 are around the pool - Building 1 is closest to Disney Springs - building 2 would be your best combo of close to the pool and still quite close to the DIsney Springs walkway.

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of renting points at SSR for May 2025 and have never stayed there.
What do you all love about this resort?? I am really wanting to walk to Disney Springs as we love to eat there, I have two girls who will be 9 and 6 next year - what will they love about this resort?
Is it easy to get ride share if we don't want to wait for a bus to the parks?
How are the pools? My kids love to be in the water so will be spending a bit of time at the pools.
My kids loved the resort. They really liked the refurbished studio and the pools. We stayed near the Grandstand pool. We also rented points.

Boat help:
I need my kids to nap before the Christmas party and am hoping I can either ride a bus for hours or ride a boat for hours 😅 or at least until they fall asleep and then get off. Can I take a boat from SSR and ride it around without getting off and take it from SSR to POFQ, or will I need to transfer?

Unfortunately, I doubt you’ll be able to do either. To ride to POFQ you definitely need to transfer because they’re separate boats. And I’ll admit it’s been a couple of years, but when we boated from SSR to DS, even at mid day, we had to disembark and get at the end of the line of people waiting to return.

About the only transportation I can remember being able to ride continuously for a round trip has been the Epcot monorail. Or of course the MK monorail, especially the resort monorail.
