Do any of you have any experience with requesting from the resort a high chair for the dining table? If that's a thing they offer, can you request it ahead of arrival, or is that something you request at the front desk upon arrival?
Thanks, Dan
If you're in a one bedroom or larger, you should automatically have a high chair in one of the closets. We stayed in one bedrooms frequently when our kids were high chair age, and we never had to ask for one.

We have our first long stay there in less than 4 weeks. Doing a 1 BR for 15 nights. We've stayed in the studio for a couple of 2 night stays. Looking forward to taking advantage of Disney Springs.

That sounds amazing! I'm jealous! We're just hoping to get a studio for 5 nights in January. Fingers crossed!

Hi! New to this thread, we bought DVC at SSR last October, first trip is next month. We booked a 1 bedroom preferred room. 2 kids... priorities are pools and easy access to the springs for quick walks/boats over. Any specific areas/rooms you think would be great for us based on this? I didn't put in any requests, but would consider it.

Congress Park would be the closest to walk to DS and has its own quiet pool. The Springs would put you closest to the main feature pool and carriage house. It would be closer to the boat to DS (but a longer walk). Those are the only 2 Preferred sections.

Thank you so much. Are the two sections close to one another? Both seem to have different perks so I'm not sure if I can say one sounds much better than the other!

We were just there for the first time and in the 1500 building of Congress Park. We loved the location. It was close enough to walk to the High Springs pool (maybe 5-10 minutes) but we also had the quiet pool right outside our door. From our room to Disney Springs entrance was less than a half a mile. We fell in love with SSR.

We are renting DVC points for the first few days in March. We’ll have a studio - preferred. My spouse needs an ECV and we are wondering if she will be able to get on the boat with it. Otherwise, we’ll request Congress Park. Looking forward to exploring this new-to-us resort!

I saw someone mention in another thread there’s a walking path to DS from the Grandstand area. Can anyone confirm? I thought there was only the path from Congress Park area.

I would call it more from The Springs, but yes, there is a path to the West Side of DS that is open during daylight hours only. It’s really a walking path to the Strawberry parking lot, which you then have to walk the length of around the perimeter; you end up near the Cirque show.

Possibly a dumb question: Stayed at the Paddock for the first time last week (lovely, lovely stay overall - so peaceful) and wanted to grab breakfast at The Paddock Grill. Apparently it opens at 7:30a but pool only opens at 10a. How would I have accessed the restaurant if pool doors are locked? Thanks!

Is there an actual lock/card reader on the gate at Paddock? I don't remember needing to scan anything to get in there (although I will admit I've only been there twice, the most recent being in 2021).

Nope, just a regular gate. I couldn't get it to open when I tried, and there didn't seem to be anyone there. It was around 8am :/

Does anyone have experience with boarding the boat to Disney Springs in a wheelchair? What about an ECV? Going for Food & Wine but will not have admissions for every day.

First time staying at SSR and will be attending the parks for special events mainly during the evening/night. What there is to do for resort days besides swimming at the pools? What kind of activities would you recommend? It will be and adults only trip (me and my sisters).

My first thought is DS. You're right next door, so you have all of the activities, shopping, and dining available to you. It also gives you access to all busses to all other resorts as well, so there can be day trips to other resorts for dining, etc. Not as easy as, say, staying on the Monorail loop to resort hop, but it does give you access to 100% of the resorts. All of that is just a short walk or boat ride away.

We did a short adults trip recently. We loved having DS right there for dining (Raglan Road dinner and Sangria Hour at Jaleo!) and listening to live music. We also took advantage of the buses or used Lyft to explore other resorts. AKL and WL are definitely worth a visit if you've never been.
