So, what happened to the SSR incentive this month? Is it still $10/point?

I don't think there is any incentive - the last one ran out Oct 31 - as long as they sell SSR without incentive don't expect one - however if sales start being slow - when SSR opens they might have one - don't count on it - if you want SSR go get it now - the price will probably go up before they have another incentive (my opinion - could be wrong)

I think they are offering MB- $5 or $10 off /point and you have to give back first years points. Replaces incentive of $10 off and keep points or take developers points.

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know.

In that case, why not refuse the "discount", and then take first year's points and sell them off at $10 per point (assuming they don't expire too soon)? Or better yet, use the points yourself...

EDIT: Oh, I see. This is not selling back first year's points but rather a real incentive! Furthermore, it seems that you cannot reserve DVC on your SSR points until your bldg opens:eek:. Well then, that changes everything. Hey, $5 off is better than nothing, and you don't have to start paying until your bldg opens, so...

Alright, call me math challenged, but does anyone know WHY Disney is doing this? Raising the price that is.

We ate at DD and they have ALOT, I mean ALOT of buildings going up. I counted at least 7. How are they able to sell all of these? And why would they build so many? If they had so much room they should have made the rooms bigger like OKW.

Are there THAT many people going to buy into SS? I'm sure theres a marketing formula, but I just don't it.

this resort room wise and I think size wise (the resort size not the room size) - will be bigger than OKW.

Yes there were several people looking when I was there last week - it is selling very well.

The price hasn't changed at all for SSR. It istill $89 per point. The original incentive (ended on 10/31/03) was to offer a credit of $10 per point for presale purchase of 100 or more points (if you wanted 50 points- you paid $89 per point).

The sales price is still $89 per point, but the incentive is now $5 per point. You don't have to give up your 1st year's points and you don't have to pay any fees until after closing next spring.

The plan for SSR is 12 buildings. There are currently four under construction that can be seen from DD. The other 8 are across a street surrounding a different lake. To my knowledge, those buildings have not yet been started, although the land has been cleared and is ready for construction.

The incentive has been changed, I'm sure, because it isn;t needed at this time. Sales are strong for the new resort. Reportedly, the first building has already sold out- almost 7 months before it will open.

I expect that once SSR opens, the current incentive will end, the per point price will increase and we'll see a return of MB- where the first year's points will have to be sold back to DVC to get the incentive.

Stay Tuned!
