Hi, we are about to become DVC members with the developer points as part of the deal. How likely is it that we could get a 2 bedroom at SSR at the 7 month mark?? I know that spring break is very busy and don't want to get too stuck on that time to use the points. For us it would be the best time next year with my daughter and school. Thanks for the input!

SSR is probably your best shot for getting what you want at 7 months or less. It is a very large resort and fills-up last of the WDW DVC resorts. I think you'll probably be fine. With the economy the way it is, I think we're going to see less people traveling too.

Thanks for the response! We are hoping to use the developer points for a cooler month! We would like to go during easter week but are also considering Mardi Gras week. I am so excited to be joining the DVC!:cool1:

Goodness! Easter week is the one I avoid. And I have celebrated at least 4 Christmas weeks at WDW.

If you are going during easter, I hope you don't mind crowds. We were at WDW this past Easter and it was beyond crowded!!

I don't know about a 2BR, but we were able to get a 1BR at SSR this past April for the same day we called. We left for vacation early and needed an extra night at the beginning of our trip. We called MS from the parking lot and they got us a room - it 4 PM on a Fri and during Spring Break for the North east (but not Easter week)

I am not thrilled about going to SSR during Easter week but we are soo limited with 12yr old DD and school schedule and a strooonngg desire not to go in the heat of the summer, LOL! Our fav time to visit DW is November. We will have to use the developer points by Aug 09 if everything works out. How long does it take to be able to make your 1st ressie after buying thru disney?? We are also considering Feb as an alternate. Am i correct in assuming we won't have a chance in hades of getting a ressie during Christmas break? I figured that possibility would be even more remote...Hopefully everything will fall into place. We aren't going to let those developer points get wasted, that's for sure! Thanks for the input yall!:)

I agree Easter is extremely busy....However....given the incredible slow-down at WDW over the past 2 months, (June and July were historically slow) I would not be surprised to see Easter a bit quieter than it has been for the past few years. I think a lot of people have plans to go, but when it comes time to chalk up the bucks, many reservations are getting cancelled.
