Sadly after the burning towel on the toaster incident, SSR eliminated the combo Toaster/DVDs that you're referring to.
The TV in the studio has front panel Video Jacks (at least ours did) for use with a video game or DVD player. We have a Wal*Mart special portable DVD (around $50 or so) that our kids use in the car (Yes we have a built in DVD too, please don't ask!), and so that the parents can watch mature DVD's in our room (1 BR or better), while the kiddies watch Nanny McPhee for the 30th time.
There is a toaster and microwave in the studio, along with a mini-fridge and some paper plates.
(There really wasn't a toaster/DVD combo, I'm just being my ole bad self!)
And Tony you know Im going there, WHAT happened to your built-in DVD in the car? Sounds like your badness has passed on to the little Tony's
So Nanny McPhee is that good! We will get that one for our trip down in 2 weeks! Dh has been wanting to see that one!
We also purchased a cheapie DVD player and take it to DVC with for longer studio stays. (and we drive)
Never underestimate the front loading AV Jacks until you have to move that Armoire to get behind the TV!

Oh! And Thank you Tony for the tip!! We are staying in a 1bdr for 12 nights at SSR and I wasnt going to pack our DVD, because we will have 1, but I forgot that it is in the Living Area, not the Master Bedroom. I will be sure to pack ours!
made me stop and say 5 times, toaster/DVD combo - what toaster/DVD combo??
Will take the portable DVD, if there's room in the suitcase - daughter going with us (yes Tony, I updated the reservation) is 20 so Nanny McPhee hopefully is not happening! But DD is a movie fiend, so the player will have to go in her suitcase.
But me - I can't live without my tea and TOASTED english muffin in the AM - and that's before breakfast!
