I understand that dues for SSR is 3.80 p/point, so if I bought 200 points, my dues for 2004 would be $760.12. Does this mean that I would begin paying dues in May/June 2004? -- but would that would be divided between the remaining months in 2004? For instance, if I have a May 15th mortgage due date, do I pay the $760.12 from May 2004 - December 2004? Or do I pay the $760.12 from May 2004 - May 2005?

Dues are billed and payble by everyone in January. I think they are due January 15 and past due early in February. You can elect to pay them automatically from your bank account each month and DVC will divide the payments into 12 amounts with no extra fee or interest.

I assume that there will be some prorating for SSR the first year. Maybe someone who has already purchased can fill in the details for you. This year will be different but all future years will be as described above.

Dues are paid on a calendar years basis. If you buy now, you will pay a prorated amount from either the date the resorts opens, the date you sign (if later than opening) or the date the use year begins if you're not getting points until later. You will pay the lessor of these amounts. then you'll get the entire amount due again in Jan of 2005 based on the rate at the time. Basically you'll pay about 66% or less of the yearly dues.
