Reading through Brogan's wonderful trip report has made me very curious about the activities she has been mentioning....ceramics, flower arranging, beaded card holder, and so on.

Is there a set schedule? Certain day? Something every day? What other kinds of things do they offer? Cost? Anyone have pics to share?

It looks like we may have a couple slow days/afternoons, so these things might be just what we need.

They give you an activities schedule (called Horsin' Around) in your Welcome Home folder. CH also has copies they give out. There are activities scheduled from like 8am to 10-11pm. Games, crafts, contests, classes, etc. when I get back I'll type up some of the things they do.

Basically we just look at the schedule and pick and chose the things we'd like to do. But they are pretty informal about letting you do some things outside the schedule. Like my dad's beadmaking. Ceramics can be done at different times, but the main issue is the size of the kiln they have. It can only hold a few pieces at a time and takes around 6 hours to fire. So if you come in Friday to do ceramics they tell you to give them until Monday just in case they get overloaded with pieces.

Oh and they give prizes for contest winners and sometimes participants. We each got a puzzle or toy for playing Jenga the other day. And the top three winners of pool contests get games and toys too. (We won Clue for winning Disney trivia last year.)
