Just wanted to share a funny story with you all - on our most recent visit to SSR, we brought a friend of DD's with us. The two girls had their own bedroom (we were in a 2 BR), so they had a bathroom to themselves.

Our DD likes to sleep late in the morning, while her friend (DD's BF) is usually an early riser. Toward the end of our stay, I found out that DD's BF had a competition going with the fan in their bathroom - she would try to enter the bathroom without activating the motion sensor for the fan. (She didn't want to wake DD--she really is a good friend!) :flower3:

Needless to say, DD's BF was frustrated most mornings; she tried hugging the wall, staying low to the ground when she entered the bathroom and so on.

I don't think she ever won, but she has given me the most entertaining pictures for my imagination, lol! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We took her on the tour of the both the AKV and BLT sample units - we may have another DVC convert one of these days. :cheer2:

LOL--that is funny--I was never quite sure what activated the fan either--it actually seemed to go on before you even got to the bathroom-must be really sensitive--we were in a 2 bedroom too.

:rotfl: I can just picture it! Years from now you'll be bring that memory out and laughing all over again.

That's a hoot! :lmao: That reminds me of the stunts you play when you have little ones. It was amazing to me how my kids could sleep on me or on the couch through "Top Gun" with surround sound. But, place them in their crib, and tip-toe out...:confused3

You know, in many ways, it's just like the fan. You can't make any sense out of it whatsoever and NOTHING you try works!!! :goodvibes

I usually have a competition to get the thing to start going again. I guess I'm part opossum. I know how to play dead/be still for a long time.

Everytime I take a shower the fan cuts out on me. The sensor doesn't seem to work in there.

LOL! :rotfl: That's so funny.

And I have to say that although I haven't tried to enter the bathroom area in a stealth way like her... :rotfl: I do kinda look up at the fan to see where I am in relation to it and when it turns on. lol

LOL! Too funny. I know I'm not the only one the crawled out of the babies room on my hands & knees to avoid detection.

Gotta check out the SSR fan. A new challenge for my teens.

I noticed the fan during our last stay - it was a nice feature except it didn't want to stay on during showers, as it couldn't 'see' the person behind the curtain. Perhaps if she had hid in the shower long enough she could have slunk over to the commode without being detected.

<where's that tip toe smiley? He must be hiding again>
