SSR and pets?

Did anyone notice this on the resorts board? What do you think?



It was my understanding that pets aren't allowed at Disney resorts, but when checking in to SSR I was surprised to read about their pet policy on a form in our room. It talked about a pet cleaning fee and then listed the kennel for while you are at the park. Maybe I misunderstood about the pet cleaning fee, but usually when there is one, it means that pets are allowed? I just looked up on a timeshare resort site and it does list this hotel as being pet friendly... is this new?

I'm thinking there is some incorrect information floating around on some non-Disney timeshare information site.

Best Friends Pet Care — operated by Best Friends Pet Care, Inc. — is located across from Disney's Port Orleans Resort at 2510 Bonnet Creek Parkway, Lake Buena Vista, FL, 32830.

Best Friends Pet Care offers accommodations, activities, and amenities for your furry friends. Services also include grooming and doggy day camp.

With the exception of service dogs for Guests with disabilities, pets are not permitted in the Theme Parks or Disney Resort hotels, or on the Disney Resort hotel or Theme Park buses. Pets may, however, stay in the air-conditioned facility, which is a member of the Pet Care Services Association.
