I am going to be staying in a 2br at SSR for 3 nights than switching to a 2br lock off. has anyone stayed in both before and can anyone explain the difference?

I think you are asking the difference between a 2BR lock-off and a 2BR dedicated villa?
A 2BR dedicated will have two queen beds in the second bedroom, and no exit door to the public hallway.
A 2BR lock-off is a combination of a 1BR and a Studio, and so the second bedroom will have a queen bed plus a sleeper sofa. It will also have a kitchenette and a door leading to the outside hallway.
Because the dedicated 2BR doesn't have the studio amenities or the outside door, the second bedroom usually has more space or a larger closet than the lock-off second bedroom would have.
