Is there any way to know ahead of time if we have reserved a dedicated 2 bedroom or a 2 bedroom lockout?

It matters because it tells us how many people we can take. If it's a dedicated then each child can ask one friend. If it's a lockout then each child can ask 2. make sense? TIA

Why could you fit more people in a lockoff? The lockoff will have a queen bed and a double sleeper sofa in the second bedroom, a dedicated will have 2 queens. The lockoff will have an outside door in the second bedroom, could be a problem if you are talking about younger children.

You can call member services and ask what you have reserved. I don't think it's a 100% guarantee.

Do you have your confirmation letter? If so, and you requested a dedicated, it will state that on the letter. If you request it when you reserve, it will be 'guaranteed".
Surprisingly though, non-smoking is considered a 'request'.

These are teenagers. All girls. My husband said 6 under "one roof" would be too much for him. But if we could split them out to the lock off then he might survive.

The confirmation just says "2-bedroom". Is it too late to call and request a lockoff?

You could call and ask for a lock off. But frankly even then you'd have "6 under one roof", just with two entry doors.

My 2BR reservation for NYE at SSR states dedicated when I look on the member site.
I didn't request it but that is what it says so maybe you can check there.

Normally, unless you specify lock-off, Member Services will automatically reserve the dedicated units first, then when that inventory is used up, start booking lock-offs.
