SSR 1 Bd capacity

Looking to make a cash SSR reservation for next year. I know the renovated 1 bedrooms now sleep 5, but everywhere I look is still showing them as 4, even the preferred rooms (which I thought I read were completed). We need a room for 5....do I just need to wait? Call Disney when it's time? Are they just waiting until all the rooms are renovated to updated the system to 5? Any info greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Based on previous resort rehabs, the occupancy number in the systems will not be updated until the entire rehab has been completed. Last I heard, that should be sometime this summer.

Cash stays do not allow it right now so until it is officially updated you won’t be able to book it that way.

SSR is one of the officially sleeps four, but you can have a fifth person as long as you provide their bed, in case you get one that isn't renovated yet AND you are using DVC points to book that stay.

Exclusive to Members Booking with Points: 5th Guest can be accommodated, but no additional bedding, linens or towels will be provided

Ok, thanks. Our dates aren't quite available to book yet cash but if they are before it swaps over to 5, perhaps I'll just book 4 and add the extra kid later.
